Hi everyone --

We wanted to get your reaction to the Vice Presidential debate between Senator Joe Biden and Governor Sarah Palin. Did you watch? What did you think -- and who do you consider the winner? Were there any surprises? Tell us what you considered to be the highlights, the low points and everything in between.

Please note: This discussion will be featured on our homepage as well as our Election 2008 feature page (http://www.ivillage.com/0,,dkrjhqbk,00.html) and may elicit some "Guest" responses from our "Talkback" box tool on the page. Inappropriate responses that violate our Terms of Service will be removed.

Thanks for your input!

Well I see all the republicans get to have talking points - except there was very little actual substance to her responses - I would say 'answers' but she was at least honest that she wasn't going to answer the questions right from the start.

**Here’s an example of one of her more memorable “blizzard of words” as her incoherent ramblings when departing from her talking points have been deemed:

“I’m not one to attribute every man – activity of man to the changes in the climate. There is something to be said also for man’s activities, but also for the cyclical temperature changes on our planet… What I want to argue about is, how are we going to get there to positively affect the impacts?”**

She was writing her 'talking points' down - so they did in fact become her cue cards - not very informative cue cards, but cue cards none the less. Good thing she got those thoughts down before the slipped out into the diminishing ozone!

I think Biden 'won' the debate because he actually answered the questions that were asked and told America just exactly what the plans were for us. Palin was a joke. She wasn't even close in answering the questions and was not able to compose an original thought.

Joe Biden. Palin was trained (like a dog..I wonder if she even knows where Iraq/ Afghanistan are on the map) so she is not by any means a candidate worthy to be our next VP. She is being used as a token, and this is a disgrace to our gender.

I'd like to think Joe Biden won the debate. I've already decided who I'm voting for in a month and I watched both the Presidential and VP debate with baited breath.

((Cutting taxes is a proven way to grow the economy and create jobs. Raising taxes is a proven way to slow the economy and lose jobs. )) Really?????What did good ole Bush43 do as soon as he got into office? The wealthy have been getting tax breaks for the past 8 years.
