Hi everyone --

We wanted to get your reaction to the Vice Presidential debate between Senator Joe Biden and Governor Sarah Palin. Did you watch? What did you think -- and who do you consider the winner? Were there any surprises? Tell us what you considered to be the highlights, the low points and everything in between.

Please note: This discussion will be featured on our homepage as well as our Election 2008 feature page (http://www.ivillage.com/0,,dkrjhqbk,00.html) and may elicit some "Guest" responses from our "Talkback" box tool on the page. Biden, hands down. I think all of Palin's answers were written for her. I don't think she could compose an answer to a question that made sense without advance preparation. She proved that when she was asked questions that were not anticipated by answering them with some jibberish about not answering the way the moderator or Biden may have wanted but she was going to speak directly to the people??? Foolery, pure foolery!

Joe Biden won hands down. Palin gave insubstantial answers and can't even pronounce nuclear correctly.

I am so glad to hear Obama is finally fighting back! McCain's smear campaign is disgusting. Obama has tried to keep the campaigning civil, but he had to start fighting back, and I'm thrilled to hear he has. It's about time, especially with McCain actually saying the next month will be about smearing Obama, rather than discussing the issues. Now that's classy...NOT!

Joe Bidden because Sarah Palin still didn't know the answers the questions one should know when leading the country. She is extremely ignorant and was banking solely on her likeability in comparison to Bidden's. Though she "crammed" for the debate as one would a test in school, she wasn't as successful as Republicans would like to believe in portraying a sense of intelligence as it relates to politics and foreign affairs. On many occassions, just as in previous interviews, she avoided answering the question. Whenever she was stumped, she brought up the issue of energy one again. Her energy argument was also flawed because her plan for the U.S. to use our own oil from her home state won't be made possible for another six years, which hasn't even been passed yet. She is a disgrace to women everywhere and I don't understand how McCain chose her...out of ALL the intelligent women leaders of America. If they're elected, I'm selling my condo and moving to another country.
