Is it the candidates or their handlers?

We are all intelligent people here (no, that is stated as fact, not as sarcasm). We know that each politician has handlers that help shape the public persona and the public perception of each candidate.

I ask you to consider the following:

Has John McCain really abandoned the man he was and the beliefs he held in 2000, or have handlers changed the persona?

When Barack Obama answered the question about when abortion begins, was he hedging his bets for his handlers?

When Sarah Palin did the 'ramp it up' and 'there with ya' and winking, were we seeing her, or the person her handlers think Americans want to see? (Gotta tell you, if that is the person who will represent the US at state events over seas -like some dignitarian weddings or funerals- I am cringing)

please feel free to give a Joe Biden example, I can't think of one right now.

What do you think?

I can speak to Joe Biden, having met him on a number of occasions. What you see is what you get with Joe. Its not his handlers - just straight up Joe. He is well liked in Delaware.
