Palin: "Obama palling with terrorists"

I just heard Palin say that Obama has such disdain for his country that "he is palling around with terrorists"

Well, I guess we now get to see where the nickname "Barricuda" comes from. I am not surprised that this comes from the book banning, moose shooting, VP candidate, who believes that being close to Russia makes her a foreign policy expert.

I am however disappointed at McCain. He promised that he would not go to the gutter. He said that as a victim of Rove's tactics in 2000, he's against the politics of personal destruction. So much for the aisle crossing maverick. I guess when you start tanking in the polls, you pal around with Rove.

Obama is also a proponent of partial birth abortion.

The claim the OP made is false.

he is now a professor in the College of Education at the University of IL Chicago. He did have charges against him by the feds and they were later dropped to prosecutorial misconduct and later still he turned himself in but I'm not sure if he actually did any time.

But you are right, this was all during the late 60's and he was wanted in the 70's. Obama was around 9-12yrs old at the time.

I just looked him up on Wikipedia - he did all this when he was 24 during the Vietnam war - he is now 60 and by all accounts has lived a very productive life since. I am sure there are many people who made mistakes in their teens and early 20's who later went on to become productive citizens. Probably wouldn't vote for Ayers for president, even if he was running against McCain, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have something to offer today. I don't have a problem with Obama associating with him.

You are mistaken about the relationship between Obama and Ayers.

maybe it's me but I can't get all riled up about 2 guys on an anti-poverty group even if one is running for president and the other a radical from the 60's. Were they doing anything illegal? Maybe I'm wrong thinking that they were just casual acquaintences but maybe that was Obama and his people trying to down-play it because some people would get a little worked up about it. I really don't have any question that Bill Ayers has left his past behind him and until they prove he is running around bombing gov't buildings this is going to be a non-issue for me.

as for him saying that he "didn't do enough":

>>"This is not a question of being misunderstood or 'taken out of context', but of deliberate distortion." In the ensuing years, Ayers has repeatedly avowed that when he said he had "no regrets" and that "we didn't do enough" he was speaking only in reference to his efforts to stop the United States from waging the Vietnam War, efforts which he has described as ". . . inadequate the war dragged on for a decade." Ayers has maintained that the two statements were not intended to imply a wish they had set more bombs.<<

Well said and states exactly how I feel about it, too.

I would say that voting for the legality of partial birth abortion amount to advocating for it.

"I just heard Palin say that Obama has such disdain for his country that "he is palling around with terrorists""

Duh. Her comment is so dumb and pathetic it's kinda funny. Reminds me of the SNL skit in which Palin says she is having a nice trip to New York, but she keeps thinking she sees Osama bin Ladin driving a taxi.
