So, i'm fairly new on the board and i pretty much just offer sarcasm (some may not think so), but anyway, i think you ladies (and probably some gents) are great and have offered a lot of facts and fun during this election. So i'm just being nosy and wondering what state you live in?

Currently, I live in Erie, PA, which is my husband's hometown and where we decided to take up residence when we got married, since he'd been away for the past 8 years in the Army.
I was born in Charleston, Illinois (my parents are from Springfield and Kankakee) but we moved to Knoxville, Tennessee when I was 3 mos. old, then
Seriously, I've had to deal with things like racism and classism WAY more living here the past 2 years than I ever did growing up in the heart of the Bible Belt, and it's been a real shocker to me.

I was born and raised in a southwestern Ontario city that is situated at a major US / Canadian border entry point. (My brother is an immigration officer at said check point.) About an hour from Detroit. I lived in Toronto for 20 years and relocated back to my hometown with my husband and young son, 2 years ago.
I've been on this board for roughly 5 years. Not a huge poster by any means and these days I'm on iV less and less.
I'm a social liberal and fiscal conservative and I'm very conflicted over how to vote in our elections on Oct 14th.

I just moved from Texas to Florida over the weekend and registered to vote yesterday (the last day - got in under the wire!). I registered as an Independent.
I did the political test on this board a week or two ago and found that I am a "moderate libertarian". Which means I have more in common with John McCain on the issues which are most important to me: National Security and taxes - but have more in common with (shockingly) Ralph Nadar socially. LOL!
