Yes, he has less experience in active politics than McCain. Whether that is good or bad is debatable. If you think about it, Obama has chosen a running mate with decades of experience, an old warhorse like McCain and like McCain a DC insider. McCain, OTOH, has chosen a sidekick whose greatest asset seems to be her outsider status and her lack of experience. So, it seems like both tickets have a mix there.

Yes, I do see the difference, but since I do not trust McCain, his experience does not help me. His VP holds political views that I oppose strongly, so, to me, she detracts from the ticket and would detract even if she had wonderful experience.
My point was that it seems people on both sides of the aisle are a bit dubious about the value of being a Washington insider these days.
