Fact Checking: Sarah Palin LIES AGAIN

I am sick of hearing McCain and Sarah lie over and over, without consequences. I am going to work harder to make sure these clowns don't get elected.

Fact Check: Is Obama 'palling around with terrorists'?

Posted: 09:00 AM ET

Gov. Palin commented about Sen. Obama and William Ayers at a rally in Carson, California Saturday.

The Statement: Republican vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin said Saturday, October 4, that Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama is "someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

Watch: Is Obama a terrorist's pal?

Get the facts!

The Facts: In making the charge at a fund-raising event in Englewood, Colorado, and a rally in Carson, California, Palin was referring at least in part to William Ayers, a 1960s radical. In both appearances, Palin cited a front-page article in Saturday's New York Times detailing the working relationship between Obama and Ayers.

In the 1960s, Ayers was a founding member of the radical Weather Underground group that carried out a string of bombings of federal buildings, including the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol, in protest against the Vietnam War. The now-defunct group was labeled a "domestic terrorist group" by the FBI, and Ayers and his wife, Bernadine Dohrn — also a Weather Underground member — spent 10 years as fugitives in the 1970s. Federal charges against them were dropped due to FBI misconduct in gathering evidence against them, and they resurfaced in 1980. Both Ayers and Dohrn ultimately became university professors in Chicago, with Ayers, 63, now an education professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Obama's Chicago home is in the same neighborhood where Ayers and Dohrn live. Beginning in 1995, Ayers and Obama worked with the non-profit Chicago Annenberg Challenge on a huge school improvement project. The Annenberg Challenge was for cities to compete for $50 million grants to improve public education. Ayers fought to bring the grant to Chicago, and Obama was recruited onto the board. Also from 1999 through 2001 both were board members on the Woods Fund, a charitable foundation that gave money to various causes, including the Trinity United Church that Obama attended and Northwestern University Law Schools' Children and Family Justice Center, where Dohrn worked.

CNN's review of project records found nothing to suggest anything inappropriate in the volunteer projects in which the two men were involved.

Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt told CNN that after meeting Obama through the Annenberg project, Ayers hosted a campaign event for him that same year when then-Illinois state Sen. Alice Palmer, who planned to run for Congress, introduced the young community organizer as her chosen successor. LaBolt also said the two have not spoken by phone or exchanged e-mail messages since Obama came to the U.S. Senate in 2005 and last met more than a year ago when they encountered each other on the street in their Hyde Park neighborhood.

The extent of Obama's relationship with Ayers came up during the Democratic presidential primaries earlier this year, and Obama explained it by saying, "This is a guy who lives in my neighborhood … the notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago — when I was 8 years old — somehow reflects on me and my values doesn't make much sense."

The McCain campaign did not respond Saturday to a request for elaboration on Palin's use of the plural "terrorists."

************************************************************************************
Verdict: FALSE. There is no indication that Ayers and Obama are now "palling around," or that they have had an ongoing relationship in the past three years. Also, there is nothing to suggest that Ayers is now involved in terrorist activity or that other Obama associates are.

From what I have read and what the article states, money went to right-wing groups in Latin America.

As far as the NY Times, they never saw a Commie they didn't like.

Ooooh, sorry, but thanksferplayin. If I was someone who didn't care about the outcome of the upcoming election, the above quote would merely be enough for me to put you on "ignore" in perpetuity as being simply not worth reading.

But since I DO care about the outcome of this election, I guess I'll have to put up with your nonsense for another three-plus weeks, until conservatives and conservatarianism are definitively crushed, until I can stop giving a crap what you think or say.

As it is, though - the New York Times earned its reputation as "America's paper of record," over a long stretch - well over a hundred years. In that time, they've had triumphs and failures. But to say "they never saw a commie they didn't like," well..... puts you in the realm of the rather quaint fantasist, not the realist. Hence my overwhelming desire to just put you on ignore for ever after as being simply not connected to reality. But - alas - both you and the rest of the readers here still have the ability to go out and actually VOTE on your false and silly convictions like this one....and so I must endure the slings and arrows of outrageous GoOPers like you for at least another three-plus weeks.....and then, I'll have the distinct pleasure of telling you to enjoy your little NY Times fantasy in private....because your country has evolved without you.

Marla, as Sopal already posted, you can see you are mistaken. I did my research, and found McCain was involved. Ollie North was as guilty as Reagan. He lied through his teeth. I didn't think there was anyone who actually believed Ollie North wasn't lying. I would go on, but I can see by the lie about democrats being pro-Communist, you wouldn't be interested.

Thanks for you cut and paste, it appears everything you ever learned came for the NY Times.

((It has nothing to do with Bush causing tough economic times...))

Actually, it has everything to do with Bush43 and the GOP. The GOP want to stay in power by any means necessary. McCain's camp is placing one drop of truth into one thousand gallons of lies. Just like they did taking Obama's statements out of context about the lipstick on a pig reference to McCain's economic policies, the Afghanistan war, and the Ayers lies. Now every one of ACORN's voter registrations is possibly fraudulent? Bull sh**!, and his campaign and radical GOPers know it.

Obama is outmaneuvering McCain and he's so afraid of losing that he's sold his soul to the devil...again (our first look into his evil soul was his philandering while married to Carol and now Cindy). His dishonorable campaign is merely confirmation of that sickened soul. He's very sad.

The Dems desperately want power by any means necessary. Obama's camp is placing one drop of truth into one thousand gallons of lies. Just like they did taking McCain's statements out of context about the "staying in Iraq for 100 years," the Afghanistan war, and the Keating lies. Now every one of ACORN's voter registrations is possibly fraudulent? Absolutely. This corrupt organization with long personal and financial ties to Obama is guilty of fraud and his campaign and the Dems know it.

McCain is outmaneuvering Obama and he's so afraid of losing that he's sold his soul to the devil...again (our first look into his evil soul was his very close associations with terrorists and racists). His dishonorable campaign is merely confirmation of that sickened soul. He's very sad.

McCain used to be the NYT's golden boy, until his bad behavior caused them to rewrite the real truth about him. Since then, McCain has been on the war path with them and losing steadily. lol. So, think for yourself and don't regurgitate Sarah's lies and misinformation that the NYT is "liberal".

Look at articles before this year's election started, because the only reason a liar and unintellectual like Sarah speaks badly about the MSM, it is to manipulate you into reading even less than she does. Sarah, who doesn't know or remember the last thing that she read, is desperate and wrong. Don't follow the blind. Sarah and McCain are fumbling in the dark with their eyes closed to reason, truth, and introspection.

This snippet of a pro-McCain article, before he sold his soul to Karl Rove. lol.

((NYT’s Roger Cohen: On Iraq, McCain Is ‘Less Wrong Than Most,’ ‘Too Honorable To Dismiss’»
“Nobody’s been right all the time on Iraq, but Senator John McCain has been less wrong than most,” writes the New York Times’ Roger Cohen — a self-proclaimed “liberal interventionist” — in a column titled, “A Center Called McCain.”

Cohen derives his argument straight from McCain’s talking points. McCain is “flesh and blood” and “straight-talking and “tends to defy categorization,” in Cohen’s words.))))))

I can't think of any organization that has had more successful criminal charges levelled against its employees for voter fraud than ACORN.
