Ladies and Gentlemen, your modern Republican party (from Palin's campaign stop in Florida yesterday):

"Now it turns out, one of his earliest supporters is a man named Bill Ayers," Palin said.

"Boooo!" said the crowd.

"And, according to the New York Times, he was a domestic terrorist and part of a group that, quote, 'launched a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and our U.S. Capitol,'" she continued.

"Boooo!" the crowd repeated.

"Kill him!" proposed one man in the audience.

Wow. Just wow. Y'ever notice that Republicans who advocate lower taxes and more war never get shot by guys like these? Count with me: Medgar Evers, MLK Jr, Malcolm X, JFK, RFK. It's not clear whether the guy in the audience meant kill Ayers...or Obama....but with the exception of Ronald Reagan (who was shot by a complete nut for reasons having more to do with Jodie Foster than with politics), the evidence suggests that the notion that a black liberal being marked for violence - even just with an epithet - wouldn't be an unusual thing to imagine taking place. Wow.

"Sit down, boy.""

We had this discussion awhile back - many on the right leaning side see no problem with calling an adult black man, a "boy."

Your first two are identical....and sent in to/by right-wing sources. Early on in BOTH, there's this odd statement that "Don’t expect to see any alarms raised about the “No USA!” chant by the mainstream media." Now, why on EARTH would the entire media corps, assembled to follow one of the two VP candidates around less than a month before the election, elect - en masse - to pass upon what would surely be a heck of a scoop: organized demonstrators from the OTHER candidate's campaign, chanting "No USA!!!" You'd think that at least one enterprising young reporter on the scene - and there were dozens, from local and national sources - would have recognized that as a story (s)he could literally launch a career to stardom on. Imagine! If it broke wide, and wound up costing Obama the election, because American voters in the heartland lost faith in his claims of not being anti-American (he and his supporters)? Man, that would put a guy in Bob Woodward territory, almost overnight!

So WHY didn't ANY of the "mainstream media" journalists assembled with the specific TASK of covering Palin and the reaction to her, print or show those chants?

Oh, right....because the entire mainstream media is

Oy. I need a drink.

Seriously.....this guy is trying to sell records. That is his main goal. A lot of artists do this by being provocative, deliberately. You seriously want to compare this to the zealot at the rally spontaneously shouting "kill him!!!?"

Sounds like SOMEone's definitely been into the Kool-Aid....but it sure ain't me.

No...it would be off topic, and nothing but a deflection.

I'd say the guy with the mercury-filled-hollow-point .762 and the sniper-scope does the most damage.

And who've those guys traditionally targeted? Democrats/Liberals. And those who've done it have come from the ranks of the angry white guy - Byron De La Beckwith, James Earl Ray, etc - than from the ranks of rappers. Rappers - and their audiences - tend to shoot each other.....not national political figures.

Oh please! Several people have asked you for this, after your boast. Why can't you be a big enough person and say that you misspoke? I've done it. It doesn't hurt.

But that does confirm my suspicion that you don't have anything to back up your claim. I'm happy to be proven wrong, if you change your mind.

Oh, and you always have the option of starting a new topic thread and sharing the details that you claimed you had. That wouldn't be a topic shift or deflection, eh?
