is anyone watching the debate? What do you think so far? Who is 'winning'? They don't seem to be answering many audience questions.

On what basis are you considering the US the largest country in the world?

I think there are a few reasons for the outrageous costs, and tests being done. The number one reason, is liability. So many people sue today, that physicians order so many tests, to cover their butts. Their overhead costs, especially for insurance, is outrageous. Some people think physicians make so much money, are covered by insurance anyway, that they see them as easy money. It's cheaper for insurance companies to settle, than it is for them to go to court, so that's what they do. Consequently, we all pay for it.

We'll have to disagree.I do think it would be rare. I see un-insured people with cancer or other expensive illness's, in the hospital now. There's no reason for it to change. People who are that ill, are getting care now. At least we get some money now. under McCain's plan, hospitals would be out of luck. I think McCain's plan will cause thousand's of people to be uninsured or under-insured. I will look for a link about the tax's later. I saw it discussed on a few news shows. Not only is he not giving company's a tax break anymore, but he is taxing you on the $5,000 he's giving the insurance company. I think Obama's plan is the best hands down. As a nurse, I don't think universal medicine is bad. I was in Norway and Denmark last year, and in speaking with people, found they are very happy with their national insurance. They don't have to wait for appointments any longer than we do. People who want to private pay, can choose to do that. We are looking from different angles. You are looking from the insurance company's perspective, and I am looking from the consumer's angle.

>>> Obama offers extraordinary plans for change.

tax and spend isn't "extraordinary"...it's stupid...especially with a poor economy.

>>> Did anyone even notice that Sen. Obama could only recite what he does know when asked that last question?

Politicians trick...that, and the truth you pointed out that Obama's ego won't allow him to admit any of his many, many, many, many, many, many failings and shortcomings.

Obama's plan will make my insurance premium skyrocket if not go away.

Where is your evidence for this? Or do you just feel it to be true?
