According to the polls, Obama won the first debate.

According to the polls, Biden won the second debate.

Now according to the first polls, Obama won the third debate.

"CNN debate poll: Obama beats McCain
CNN's poll of people who watched the second presidential debate showed 54 percent saying Democrat Barack Obama won and 30 percent thinking Republican John McCain was the victor.

UPDATE
A CBS poll of uncommitted voters found: 40 percent identified Obama as the winner; 26 percent said McCain won, while 35 percent said it was a tie."

Obama was steady. Obama made sense. Obama answered the questions.

McCain was disrespectful to Obama again. McCain tossed out the idea of another $300 billion bailout on top of the $700 billion bailout. McCain did not answer the questions. McCain's math did not add up. McCain could not explain how McCain can offer tax cuts to the rich and continue the endless war in Iraq, not to mention another $300 billion bailout, and balance the budget.

Americans want change. Obama represents change.

More and more this election is looking like it will be a landslide for change and a referendum against Bush and McCain: http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/

I loved this from Obama in response to John McCain saying Obama didn't understand......

"You're right... I don't understand... I don't understand WHY THE HECK WE WENT INTO IRAQ TO BEGIN WITH!!"

I thought it sounded like McCain was having breathing problems--perhaps it was too stressful for him.

Obama offered more specifics than McCain did. We're all craving those at a point less than one month from election day.

Well, I'm retired and have been around a while. I'll feel secure with McCain at the helm. I'm sure he won't follow anything Bush did, but work to improve literally everything. He wouldn't dare copy Bush now. Obama is a great actor and a slick pretender, but he comes off as being in it for himself. Most of all, I don't want government running my healthcare. I don't want to be taxed for all his expensive plans. I don't want other countries thinking Obama and the U.S. are pushovers. We need someone strong and experienced, but forward thinking. McCain showed me that in these debates. I'm a registered Democrat, and voted for Carter, Clinton, and Gore . . . but simply can't vote for anyone but McCain this time around.

I agree! I really thought Obama did well. He was relaxed, calm and didn'y look like he was beating on a desk, which McCain would have been beating on if he wasn't walking around constantly.

""You're right... I don't understand... I don't understand WHY THE HECK WE WENT INTO IRAQ TO BEGIN WITH!!" (Ha!) That was by far, the best line of the night! I cheered when I heard that. It was brilliant."

Yup, reason is winning back the day. It is our only hope to drag ourselves out of the economic and foreign policy messes the Republicans made.

"I thought it sounded like McCain was having breathing problems"

You know he did sound stressed. It points up in my mind that Palin would be a heartbeat away. If McCain lost last night, think about how Palin would have done. She would have been totally out of her league, just like she would be if she were President.

One would hope that the people watching this debate took note of Obama's reply on sending our troops to do peace keeping duties in places like Darfur.
