Oh NOES! McCain Palling With Terrorists!

HOLY COW!! Have you SEEN this? Hot off the presses!
This morning John McCain put out a list of 100 former ambassadors who are supporting his campaign. Number two is Leonore Annenberg, the wife of Ambassador William Annenberg, the founder of the Annenberg Institute of Reform, which funded the Annenberg Challenge, which once had two famous board members: former "domestic terrorist" William Ayers and Sen. Barack Obama.

So either we should all be outraged that John McCain is supported by a family who funded a foundation that hired a domestic terrorist, or this whole William Ayers thing is just plain silly. I choose the latter.

>>> I hope that I haven't given you the impression that I don't care if he's hanging around with sleeper cells, mob bosses, child molesters, etc. It is this particular relationship that does not have me riled up. There are concerns and relationships on both sides that concern me. This is just not one of them. With that said, you won't see me on a post defending his relationship with Rev Wright.

I appreciate your honesty...and your moderation...but to discuss the Ayres issue...

I agree, a casual relationship with an old radical is hardly reason to condemn Obama, but Ayres wasn't just a "'60's radical" as so many here on the left would pass him off to be...he was a terrorist who actually committed acts of terrorism. And even if his "acts" are in the past (no reason to forgive them as far as I'm concerned) his ideology and anti-American sentiment are apparently still deeply held by this man. He publicly espoused these view WHILE he was working with Obama, which begs the question...why weren't these radical comments sufficient for Obama to break ties with Ayres?

You also have to wonder what is was about Obama that caused Ayres to want to ally himself with an unknown would-be politician (to the tune of $50 million dollars) or to "coincidentally" be the one who held Obama's political "coming out" party at his home. It would be the same reason that you'd support anyone...because you share their ideology...and that a would-be President shares a common ideology with a domestic terrorist is a frightening notion.

Now, if McCain were involved in the exact same type of relationship, the left would be going bonkers...but when it's a lib, suddenly "objectivity"...and reason...disappears and the apologists rush the stage. And this relationship is troubling enough...but it's the aggregate of all of the people Obama has CHOSEN to ally himself with that is the true issue...and the revelation into Obama's true character. It was the same character and the same judgment and the same ideology that led Obama to Ayres...and to Rezko...and to to Khalidi...and to Rev. Pflaeger...and to Rev. Wright.

Try making a similarly troubling list of "unusual suspects" for McCain...or Palin...can't...says a lot.

>>> Apparently you have it all figured out, good for you.

True...it's just a shame that what you've got figured out is based on propaganda instead of facts. Hopefully you'll read further and get better informed.

((BTW, you don't get to "vet away" Obama's radical associations. They speak to his character and deserve to be put front and center when choosing a President.))

No one needs to. Obama's record is excellent and clear. He's a law abiding citizen and a model citizen. He's a loving father and husband and a hard-working man. Obama is not friends with Ayers, but he knows who Ayers is and is friendly to him.

Ayers was charged with crimes, but found not guilty. Ayers is an employee of the same University that Obama used to teach. They live in the same neighborhood. Obama has served on boards with Ayers and attended a meeting, in Ayers home. Obama's political career was already in place before he attended Ayers' home. They didn't launch anything there. Most importantly, Obama doesn't agree with Ayers' views.

Ayers' defends his actions, but so does John McCain about supporting the war for Oil. He does not have any remorse about sending our troops into that "surge" which killed them in this war that has nothing to do with 9/11. Some of McCain's supporters support Ayers' bombing methods, too, as vocalized by their nasty shouts and rants at McCain's nasty rallies.

So, why should McCain be allowed to ever forget Keating Five? Estim. Cost to Taxpayers 3.4 Billion Dollars. 3 Senators went to prison. McCain did not. Why do you forgive McCain?

McCain crashed 5 air planes. Cost to taxpayers: Estim. 1.2 million dollars- EACH!

McCain fought for trade for the Vietnamese who killed over 58,159 U.S. soldiers and tortured POWs. Why do you excuse McCain's actions?

McCain and trade (at the expense of American job loss): McCain: NAFTA Was a Good Idea. “NAFTA was a good idea….All you’ve got to do is go to Detroit and see the thousands of trucks lined up every day or to our Southern border….{{{{Have people lost jobs? Yes, they have, and they’re gonna lose jobs.”)))) (John McCain, Des Moines Register interview, 11/27/07) http://www.aflcio.org/issues/politics/mccain_trade.cfm

McCain voted against Veterans funding: McCain got a D- grade on issues that Veterans feel are important from the DAV(the Webb GI bill was important, as were VA benefits-which McCain has pretty much voted against for 20 years-the VFW also gave McCain a D- on important issues while Obama got a B+ grade from both organizations. Why is McCain's abyssmal voting record acceptable to you?

McCain and La Raza: "GOP presidential candidate John McCain is inviting his Democratic rival, Barack Obama, to participate in a joint town hall meeting at an open-borders advocacy group’s upcoming meeting in California....((I say that we have a town hall meeting together in front of La Raza)).... The National Council of La Raza, which described itself as a Hispanic rights group and whose name translates as "the race" in English, is roundly criticized by border hawks who oppose La Raza?s liberal stance on amnesty and other benefits for illegal immigrants." http://idexer.com/2008/06/16/mccain-proposes-la-raza-townhall.html

Double standard, perhaps?

Obviously, McCain does NOT put "country first". His actions are radical, no associations needed. McCain HIMSELF is the radical. Why doesn't McCain support Veterans, taxpayers, and reduce everything that he does into angry shouting matches? Only he knows, but his actions are reprehensible. Why do McCain's supporters excuse McCain's behavior and actions?

Were these books about how to make bombs? NO. Were they books about how to blow up gov't? NO. They were books about education and the juvenile court system- Obama's areas of interest.

Do you want Obama to ignore Ayers? Cuss him out? Is Ayers a fugative? Was he convicted of any crimes? What about the Univ. of Illinois? Are you going to picket them for hiring Ayers?

McCain hugged the man that kept him prisoner in Vietnam. He fought to open trade for the Vietnamese. Almost 60000 American soldiers died at the Vietnamese hands. Palin harrassed Monegan to fire her BIL. She had her own employees and husband harrass Monegan to pressure Monegan to fire her BIL. Who has taken part in radical behavior in recent years? Hint: Not Obama.

McCain, Palin and Cindy are a disgrace to the political arena and America in general. Their lies and accusations show they do not have character or souls. I wish that Obama would sue them for slander and liable.

---Sarah is married to a secessionist.------

Good try, already debunked on this very board.

(((((lol. Yeah. And there's this bridge for sale on EBAY. Sarah made Todd leave so that she could run for office. Todd WAS DEFINITELY a member of a group that hates America and has a connection to the radical group that McCain suddenly left also. It get's hot alright.

Obama was NEVER a member of the Underground. His righteously angry pastor, Rev. Wright, was angry that the majority of Americans embraced racism and bigotry for so long. Black people were terrorized by the first domestic terrorists...the klan. McCain's supporters (some) are proving that Rev. Wright was correct!))))))

----McCain was a member of a group that helped the rebels (Taliban) in Afghanistan------

((((check out Sopall's thread on McCain's connection to The U.S. Council for World Freedom. In the 1980s, McCain served on the advisory board to the U.S. chapter of an international group linked to ultra-right-wing death squads in Central America.)))))

----Cindy's dad had mob connections------

I will take that as a no. But since you brought it up. So does Obama. You know his real estate pal, Rezko, nuff said.

((((Oh no. Obama did not obtain his money illegally. In 1995, McCain sent birthday regards, and regrets for not attending, to Joseph "Joe Bananas" Bonano, the head of the New York Bonano crime family, who had retired to Arizona. Another politician to send regrets was Governor Fife Symington, who has since been kicked out of office and convicted of 7 felonies relating to fraud and extortion.McCain is "lucky" that way.))))))

-----McCain used Cindy's money, which was her dad's mob money (see above mob reference) to launch his first campaign------

Well since you want to continue, can you prove these so called ties? (((((((((See above and Google John McCain, Cindy mccain and political career. Thousands of references will appear. Cindy paid for EVERYTHING...John had her trained well. lol. )))))))))

----McCain hugged the Vietcon that kept him captive in Vietnam and helped open trade for the Vietnamese gov't------

So again a no? Denial feels good to the desperate ones losing credibility and support. Words matter, and it's just not kosher to hug and smile at a man that kept you locked up for 5 years. Defiled your wife and killed fellow soldiers. McCain opposed American families from gaining access to POW records in hopes of locating their family members. It was more important for McCain to cover-up what he leaked to the Vietnamese than to help them bring home fellow POWs.

-----What else you got? This is easy. lol.------

I bet you think it is easy. You didn't do well here at all. ((((((((Because you didn't like the truth. So, look for yourself. Choose your own reputable sources. What you will find is rather shocking.))))))) Let me know when you can back up your claims, and answer the questions. Thanks!

(((((No, gracias, for helping to show why the GOP should not be in power in the WH. Facing problems is the way to start solving them. 8 years of avoidance and denial from Bush43 was far too much.)))))))))
