Intentionally or unintentionally McCain's campaign has brought out some people with disturbing statements if not disturbing tendencies.

Aw, I was just thinking today that I never thought the day would come when I would miss the arrogant, pretentious so-and-so but with all the "it's elitist to think" ranting going on I did have a moment of "dang...I think I miss the ol' ba****d.

We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.

>>You guys are insane. This is all media hype....

I just can't believe you all are so over the top, and buy all that media drama.<<

How is live TV media hype/drama? People are yelling hateful, racist things and that is media drama? I'd better go check wikipedia or my dictionary again.

My uncle, a lifelong Republican, just emailed me that he is leaning toward Obama because of Sarah Palin being on the ticket.

From the media coverage of their rallies, it looks like Palin has unified the truly ignorant bigots and brought them out of the woodwork.

I think it was good that McCain stepped this back a bit at least at the rallies.

Another conservative:

"William F. Buckley famously said he’d rather be governed by the first 2,000 names in the Boston phone book than by the faculty of Harvard. But he didn’t believe those were the only two options. His entire life was a celebration of urbane values, sophistication and the rigorous and constant application of intellect."

You see, both Buckleys, father and son, do not stand for what McCain and Palin stand for. Not by a long shot.

Buckley Jr. is so reviled by the incompetence and lack of character of McCain and Palin, and impressed by the steady competence and good character of Obama, that he has done the previously unthinkable.

The Buckleys are for Obama.

Fops go home, thank you very much. Or not. You've done enough damage.
