Sarah Palin: GUILTY of Abuse of Power

Sarah did it! The standing Governor of Alaska is found Guilty of Abuse of Power by letting First Dude have so much access to state information, state employees, and making over 19 calls to pressure a state official to fire her BIL out of revenge. It was unlawful, but no charges??

I knew it. She did it as Mayor and got away with it. The McCain camp is making excuses as usual, instead of taking responsibility for her/their actions. Details will be released soon.

Public safety commissioner Walt Monegan's refusal to fire Trooper Wooten was not the only reason Mrs Palin dismissed him, but was "likely a contributing factor". Nonetheless, the Governor has authority to sack executive branch department heads, and acted within that.

  • Technically a plus for Mrs Palin, but reveals she bears grudges. Mrs Palin can hire and fire her department chiefs as she wishes, so long as she acts "in good faith". She said she dismissed Mr Monegan because of a budget dispute but he said he believed he was sacked because he resisted pressure to oust Trooper Wooten.

A worker compensation claim by Mr Wooten was correctly handled and he received the benefits to which he was entitled.

  • An all clear for Mrs Palin. Her husband, Todd, had circulated pictures of the trooper driving a snowmobile while he was supposed to be on sick leave and receiving benefits for a bad back sustained at work - implying he was feigning the condition. The Palins denied interfering in his benefit claim and the inquiry did not disagree.

Gov. Palin's firing of Commissioner Monegan was a proper and lawful exercised of her consitutional and statutory authority to hire and fire executive branch department heads.

With that being said, your so called attempt to bring guilty into the discussion is quite humorous.

>>And, again, the vote was NOT unanimous. It was a political hack job, nothing more.<<

Fact is... those aren't MY words... the panel, the report, etc, etc, etc... you can't change the FACTS nor the wording to suit yourself... it seems to be a favorite ploy these days... it's called the "Ostrich Syndrome"...

It wasn't the opinion of the board. It was the opinion of one man - Democrat Hack Stephen Branchflower. The committee did not vote on the validity of his opinion, only whether or not to release it to the public.
