Sarah Palin: GUILTY of Abuse of Power
| Fri, 10-10-2008 - 10:18pm |
Sarah did it! The standing Governor of Alaska is found Guilty of Abuse of Power by letting First Dude have so much access to state information, state employees, and making over 19 calls to pressure a state official to fire her BIL out of revenge. It was unlawful, but no charges??
I knew it. She did it as Mayor and got away with it. The McCain camp is making excuses as usual, instead of taking responsibility for her/their actions. Details will be released soon.

Sorry, you are wrong again. Obama has been in his home for four years.Besides, what difference does it make when he closed on his house? This is just silliness, that has nothing to do with the issues. Obama is not in a $2 million dollar house. His home is worth a little over $1 million.
Claiming the houses and cars aren't in McCain's name is absurd. He and Cindy are married. Everything belongs to both of them. Again, so what! Obama is far from being the elitist, conservatives are trying so hard to label him as being. McCain fits that description in every way. His voting record even shows that.
When Obama used Rezko's realtor, Rezko was not yet under investigation. Their history is not as long as you are making it sound. Obama wasn't involved in Rezko's illegal dealings, so big deal. Knowing a neighbor who may be involved in shady dealings, doesn't make you guilty by association.
I'm curious, how do you know this:And coincidentally...when the owners insisted on a joint sale and closing of the house AND the lot next door, Rezko's wife, who makes $35K a year, just happened to have an extra $125K in her piggy bank and was MORE than happy to assume a $500K mortgage to make Barry's dreams come true.
McCain has voted along party lines, and in lock step with Bush 95% of the time. Look at the damage he has helped heap on this country! We don't need four more years of republicans ruining this country!

Maybe conservatives should try water instead. Sound travels well through water. That should make it easier
Sound also travels well thru air - as in dead space.
>>> Sorry, you are wrong again. Obama has been in his home for four years.
You can keep saying that but it doesn’t change the fact that Obama closed on his house in JUNE, 2005 after he was elected to the Senate.
>>> Besides, what difference does it make when he closed on his house? This is just silliness, that has nothing to do with the issues. Obama is not in a $2 million dollar house. His home is worth a little over $1 million.
First, the house is worth $1.65 million…and the property next door, that was sold at the same time as a condition of the sale of the house, is worth $650K…collectively they’re worth $2.3 Million. Even if you close your eyes to the shady nature of the deal, Obama paid an additional $110K for a piece of Rezko’s land so his home is actually worth around $1.75 Million.
Now to the more salient point…the shady nature of the deal. I know you’ll just put your fingers in your ears rather than listen to the facts, but I’ll give it a go anyway…
Obama and Rezko have been in cahoots since Obama’s early days in Chicago. As the owner of 11 low income properties in Obama’s district, Rezko has a very vested interest in cozying up to Obama and “greasing the wheel.” This influence peddling was even more important when Obama was elected to the US Senate.
Right after Obama won the election, he started shopping for a house worthy of his big head. He found the one he wanted, but the asking price was too high, and it came with an adjoining “garden” lot. Here’s where the coincidences start…
The owners were willing to sell the house and lot separately...and even take a $300K loss on the house…but insisted that both sales close at the same time, not being interested in selling the house but still having an empty lot on their hands. Now, what do you think the odds are that the seller would find two buyers (one for the house and one for the lot) on the same day? But darn if that exact thing didn’t happen…and coincidentally enough, the other buyer was Tony Rezko’s wife Rita. Whodathunk it? Even more surprising is that Rita, who makes $35K a year, had $150K in her piggy bank for the down payment…and such super-duper credit that, again, at $35K a year, was able to get approved for a $500K mortgage. You could do that, couldn’t you? Maybe it was one of those “sub-prime” things. LOL!
But hey, the wife of a real-estate developer might have learned a thing or two about real-estate development, so maybe she was honestly interested in building a nice house on the lot and making a big wad of cash…after all, the market was pretty good in 2005/6. But strangely, she didn’t do that. Know what she did? She devalued her property by slicing off a 10 foot piece and sold it to Obama so he could have a bigger yard. Now why do you think she would do a thing like that? Hmmm…the whole deal sounds a little fishy and always seems to be working out in Obama’s favor. Don’t you wish the world worked like that for you?
>>> Claiming the houses and cars aren't in McCain's name is absurd. He and Cindy are married. Everything belongs to both of them.
No, actually they don’t. If you looked at the link (what am I thinking?) you’d see that some of the properties are owned by the “Cindy McCain Hensley Family Trust.” Others are owned by separate corporations and partnerships. The cars too are owned by Cindy with one being registered to McCain. I know they upset you, but facts are facts.
>>> Again, so what! Obama is far from being the elitist, conservatives are trying so hard to label him as being. McCain fits that description in every way. His voting record even shows that.
No, I’m afraid not. McCain has anything but an “elitist” voting record…and Obama EARNED that title by his very own words. I know they upset you, but facts are facts.
>>> When Obama used Rezko's realtor, Rezko was not yet under investigation. Their history is not as long as you are making it sound. Obama wasn't involved in Rezko's illegal dealings, so big deal.
They met in 1990. Obama was a student at Harvard Law School and got an unsolicited job offer from Rezko, then a low-income housing developer in Chicago. Obama turned it down.
Obama took a job in 1993 with a small Chicago law firm, Davis Miner Barnhill, that represents developers -- primarily not-for-profit groups -- building low-income housing with government funds.
One of the firm's not-for-profit clients -- the Woodlawn Preservation and Investment Corp., co-founded by Obama's then-boss Allison Davis -- was partners with Rezko's company in a 1995 deal to convert an abandoned nursing home at 61st and Drexel into low-income apartments. Altogether, Obama spent 32 hours on the project, according to the firm. Only five hours of that came after Rezko and WPIC became partners, the firm says. The rest of the future senator's time was helping WPIC strike the deal with Rezko. Rezko's company, Rezmar Corp., also partnered with the firm's clients in four later deals -- none of which involved Obama, according to the firm. In each deal, Rezmar "made the decisions for the joint venture," says William Miceli, an attorney with the firm.
In 1995, Obama began campaigning for a seat in the Illinois Senate. Among his earliest supporters: Rezko. Two Rezko companies donated a total of $2,000. Obama was elected in 1996 -- representing a district that included 11 of Rezko's 30 low-income housing projects.
In 2003, Obama announced he was running for the U.S. Senate, and Rezko -- a member of his campaign finance committee -- held a lavish fund-raiser June 27, 2003, at his Wilmette mansion.
October 2006 -- Rezko was indicted on charges he solicited kickbacks from companies seeking state pension business under his friend Gov. Blagojevich. Federal prosecutors maintain that $10,000 from the alleged kickback scheme was donated to Obama's run for the U.S. Senate. Obama has given the money to charity.

An ABC News review of campaign records shows Rezko, and people connected to him, contributed more than $120,000 to Obama's 2004 campaign for the U.S. Senate, much of it at a time when Rezko was the target of an FBI investigation.

Just how many “shady neighbors” does it take for you to be guilty by association?…Ayres…Wright…Rezko…

It’s right there for anyone who’s interested in the truth to see…

>>> McCain has voted along party lines, and in lock step with Bush 95% of the time.
Only in 2007, when even Barry voted with Bush almost 50% of the time. McCain voted with his party 77% in 2005 and as low as 67% in 2001. Bi-partisan-LOL!-Obama, on the other hand, has voted with his party 97% of the time.
>>> Look at the damage he has helped heap on this country! We don't need four more years of republicans ruining this country!
The economic troubles have their beginnings in Democrat policies and these damaging policies were defended vigorously by Democrats when Bush and McCain tried to impose regulations. And now you want the foxes to watch the hen house they’ve ruined? LOL! And even after these corrupt politicians have “screwed the pooch” to the tune of a TRILLION dollars, you still support the neophyte who says, even today, that raising taxes and spending TRILLIONS more is the cure to the economic ails??? WAKE UP!
But anytime you are in a deal with Rezko, that is sufficient enough to say that something isn't right here.
The name Rezko is all any logical person would need to know that something isn't really right.
