Sarah Palin: GUILTY of Abuse of Power

Sarah did it! The standing Governor of Alaska is found Guilty of Abuse of Power by letting First Dude have so much access to state information, state employees, and making over 19 calls to pressure a state official to fire her BIL out of revenge. It was unlawful, but no charges??

I knew it. She did it as Mayor and got away with it. The McCain camp is making excuses as usual, instead of taking responsibility for her/their actions. Details will be released soon.

>>> Let's get one thing out of the way now. If you want to continue this debate, I expect you to be respectful, and stop insulting me. I've had enough of it.

Wellllllllllllllllll…ok…let’s have a go.

>>> One of the included links will answer your innuendo's. Contrary to your snide remark about me not reading your links, I do read them. Now, let's see if you will afford me the same courtesy. Let's see if you have an open mind, unlike what you have accused me of not having.

Sorry, but the links was too filled with lies and illogic to take seriously. But let’s examine them anyway…

Here are the circumstances…

Michelle discovers a house w/lot for sale in the historic district. Barry wants to buy it but it’s too expensive so he contacts Tony Rezko (widely known at the time for being under investigation) for advice on how to pull the deal off. Tony Rezko comes up with the idea of parceling the property.

The owners agree as long as the sale of both the house and the lot close on the same day. Now all they need is a buyer for the land.

Coincidentally, Tony’s wife, Rita, who’s NOT a real estate developer and who only makes $35K a year, decides that she can afford to buy the lot next door and make Barry’s dreams come true. She puts down $150K in cash…and also, miraculously qualifies for a $500K mortgage. Now remember…she makes $35K a year.

Both properties close on the same day (or one day apart if you choose to believe your skewed links).

Obama is apparently interested in expanding his property and wants 10’ of Rita’s property, which has remained untouched for the past 8 months. Rita decides to devalue her property and slice off 10’ for Barry. Obama’s assessor says the land is worth $40,500, but Obama, being a kindly soul, decides to pay Rita $104K instead. What a generous guy…who then makes Tony Rezko pay $14K for the fence that splits the two properties. To make up for it, Barry agrees to have his gardener mow Rita’s property free of charge. ; )

* I should note that there is evidence that Rita conveyed the ENTIRE LOT to Obama’s Northern Trust Company Land Trust for $104K. (see link below)
http://www.theseahawk.org/home/index.cfm?event=displayArticleComments&ustory_id=7737383d-9137-42f6-ad58-d135054dfeb2

Strangely enough, Rita never tried to develop the remaining property and sold it to "5050 S. Greenwood LLC"…a corporation registered to Tony Rezko…who then sold it to Michael Sreenan, Rezko’s lawyer and an Obama supporter. Imagine my surprise at such a startling coincidence. LOL!

Man, there’s an awful lot of coincidences going on there to make sure that Barry and Michelle could get their “it’s a stretch” dream house.

>>> Second time around:" I know they upset you, but facts are facts."> Those are your unverified facts.

Feel free to dispute any of the facts I’ve presented with actual evidence, not with “because I say so.”

>>> The deal was NOT shady.

It was as crooked as Obama’s friends…and that’s pretty crooked. Even today…Obama has his “sweet deal” house…plus the yard…and three years later there hasn’t been the slightest bit of building within earshot of Barry. Coincidence? I think not.

>>> Only Rezko was his neighbor. Ayers only lives in the same neighborhood. I have no idea where Wright lives...how do you KNOW?

Um…don’t you call people who live in the same neighborhood…”neighbors?”

>>> Can you back up your innuendo's about Rezko's wife? The implication is there must be something wrong because she only earns $35,000/year. She is married to a multi-millionaire, so she would have access to a lot of money through their joint accounts. Unless you have something concrete to show impropriety on her part, please stop trying to make it sound otherwise.

Her income was declared in their bankruptcy filing…and no, Tony didn’t have the cash either. It’s also pretty coincidental that she wanted to buy the lot, right next door, that Obama needed to get sold in order to get his precious house…but she never did anything with it…and then sold it to her husband. So unless you can show where the money came from, stop trying to blow off the facts. So much for being “open-minded.”

>>> In spite of having been told numerous times, it was the republicans who killed McCain's attempt to enter a bill recommending regulating the mortgage companies, you insist on posting:"economic troubles have their beginnings in Democrat policies and these damaging policies were defended vigorously by Democrats when Bush and McCain tried to impose regulations.">

Once again: McCain's "bill" never made it out of committee. That means the republican's killed it, because the democrats never had a chance to even see it, much less discuss it or kill it. It never made it to the floor to be voted on. Republican's were in complete control at that time. Hopefully you understand why the democrats didn't have anything to do with it. It's unfortunate, McCain was so adamantly pro deregulation for so many years. At least he finally saw the error of his ways. It's too bad the republicans didn't want regulations instituted. Yes, the republican's who killed it in committee, were corrupt.

Lies. In committee, the vote for McCain’s bill was split along party linesthe Republicans ALL voted for the bill and the Democrats ALL voted against it. The Democrats had enough votes to kill the bill in committee. It was also the Dems who protected their cash cows Fannie and Freddie…the video has been posted here many times…Maxine Waters…Barney Frank…Chris Dodd (who’s under investigation as we speak)…all protected their subprime bonanza from regulation.

>>> Perhaps it's time you accept the facts about what happened to McCain's bill!

Post your facts…I’d love to see them…for once.

I thought he did a good job. I don't think he gave answers which were entirely satisfactory, though.

For example, the Trib boys didn't jump on the early concession that "Tony may have thought he was doing me a favor." Obama was a United States Senator at the time. A public official who doesn't hear alarm bells when someone even THINKS they are doing him a favor lacks the requisite ethical compass for honest politics.

They may have had no reason to ask Obama about Rezko's bankruptcy filing which claim he and his wife had income and assets of less than $100,000 only days before she put a $125,000 cash down payment on the lot. After all, how could he know one of his oldest associates and supporters was bankrupt and spending money he didn't have?

Judgment.

They may have had no reason to ask about the mysterious alleged loan of several million dollars Rezko reportedly received from a shady Iraqi billionaire, also days before the transactions.

It's great that Obama says that Rezko, the notorious Chicago "fixer," his longtime friend and fundraiser, never asked him for anything. It's what I would expect him to say if it's the truth. It's also what I would expect him to say if it is NOT the truth - unless he just wanted to confess to corruption in the middle of a close primary campaign.

The problem with accepting Obama's answers as the definitive statement on his relationship with Rezko is that he told the Trib and others that he had given them all pertinent information a long time ago, but he had not. He hadn't mentioned the walk-through. He had assured them that Rezko gave/raised about $150,000 for his campaigns; now he acknowledges it was closer to $250,000 and he can't be sure if it isn't more. He never mentioned the health board appointments before. So, WHY would anyone now believe he has suddenly come completely clean instead of just doing the good ol' "modified limited hangout" routine?

LOL, I love it! My links are full of lies, but yours are accurate?! So much for having an open mind. I have no intention of rehashing your skewed ideas any further. There's no point in trying to have a rational discussion. My links are from reputable sites, but you dismiss them, because you disagree. That makes learning the truth very difficult, if not impossible. Anyway, I am ending this discussion, as it's pointless to try to open a closed mind. Bye.

"she"ll prove the be the worst VP pick in history"

It'll be tough to top Cheney. Come to think of it, they do have some similarities. Cheney was head of Bush's VP selection committee and then ended up picking himself. How's that for hubris? Palin, one of the least qualified VP candidates ever, says she never had any doubts about her ability to be VP. More hubris. And they both love their cronies as you pointed out.

"She's turning on her own supporters now."

I really don't understand why she didn't quickly apologize after she admonished her own supporters by accident and someone told her about it right after she did it. Her instincts are a bit off.

Why are you bothering us with so much detailed evidence and annoyingly pointing it front of our faces?

Can't you see that we'd rather chant Sarah Sarah Sarah as she regales us with stories about Obama "palling around" with terrorists?

Bush and his cronies told us reality doesn't matter. It is so much better and more liberating. That way we can run up more debt in Bush's 8 years than every President in the history of the United States before him ran up combined. That way we can fight an endless war which we never should have gotten into in the first place. That way the ordinary folks who vote for Bush can feel like they are being showered with endless cascading wealth trickling down from on high.

It's so much better to ignore reality than deal with the facts that Bush and McCain deregulated our economy into the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, dragged us into an endless war which we had no business starting in the first place, and let Obama run free for over 7 years after he perpetrated the worst attack on America since Pearl Harbor.
