FOX News blogger denounces McCain's lies about Obama and implications that Obama is a terrorist. Now, all is right in the world. Or it could be coming to an end, since FOX is associated with doing "the honorable thing". Either way, I wish that it would stop the soulless, derisive GOPers on McCain's campaign to end their bullsh**.

The McCain Campaign’s Disappointing Act

When John McCain denounced the Swift Boat veteran attacks on John Kerry’s war record because he thought that they were unfair and out of line, he was putting Country First.

When John McCain denounced the North Carolina GOP’s ad on Jeremiah Wright, he was putting Country First.

And that’s why it’s disappointing to see McCain’s campaign get ready to unveil a new round of attacks on Barack Obama centered around his association with Weatherman leader Bill Ayers.

There is no debate whether or not Bill Ayers is a good guy. The Weathermen were not just a “radical” organization -– as described by Tom Brokaw on “Meet the Press” yesterday –- it was a domestic terrorist organization. But Obama long ago denounced the despicable acts with which Ayers was involved when Obama was eight years old. And Bill Ayers isn’t on the ballot.

This is a big election about big issues –- we are a nation at war on two fronts while facing an unprecedented fiscal crisis. An attempt to reignite the culture wars one month from the election smacks of desperation — it is a transparent attempt to distract voters from the real issues.

Politics ain’t beanbag, and it’s no surprise to see consultants try to convince their candidate that going nuclear is the only way to win this election. It’s a return to one of the oldest attacks in the arsenal, painting opposing candidate as “dangerously liberal” –- a combination of elitist, arrogant, naïve, amoral and out of touch with mainstream America. We have seen this movie before.

But when Sarah Palin unveiled this new round of attacks by describing Obama as “palling around with terrorists,” saying “This is not a man who sees America like you and I see America,” she was resorting to an ugly internal us against-them attack which America cannot afford at this pivotal moment in our history. It is evidence of the “obsessive partisanship” she decried in the VP debate.

Trying to divide our nation to conquer the White House is inconsistent with the McCain campaign’s honorable message of Country First.

I don't see America the way Sarah Palin sees America.

I couldn't agree more.
