Please provide a link where McCain has said that Obama is a Muslim with the negative connotations you are applying.

I have been frightened for Obama from the beginning and fear that someone may try an assasinate him.

The criticism of McCain seem to be mostly criticism of his policies, his choice of VP and concern about his age and health.

The ATTACKS against Obama are evidence of a very INTENSE HATRED, and the outright LIES circulating on blogs and via e-mail are just over the top. The Obama HATERS will stop at nothing. I really fear for his safety.

Last July, a deranged maniac went into a UU church and shot and killed some congregants. He left a letter in his car stating that his reasons for doing so were fueled by frustration over not find a job and HATRED for the liberal movement. He hated gays and liberals and acted on that by MURDERING congregants at a Unitarian Universalist church. So far, I have not heard any conservative talking heads denounce this behavior. (Although I understand Bill O'Reilly got pretty upset with a woman who wrote an OP-ED piece linking conservative hateful rhetoric against liberals with this crazy mans actions)

So called "liberal" bashing (which includes democrat bashing) is a popular hobby these days, and gets lot of press. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if all the shrieking HATRED of Obama pushes another crazy over the edge, and pushes him from shouting "kill him" to actually killing him.

Just as many are good at separating what they hear from the Obama camp and left wing source or even this board, it would be good if that same assessment on the negative attacks were also separated from what is coming from the McCain camp and extreme right wing sources or this board.

What is said on "this" board is totally immaterial, including anything I write, to the question of Obama's safety.

But when the Secret Service is worried about it enough to start investigating those who make such dangerous remarks, those of us who don't want Obama hurt or anyone else, for that matter, ought to have some concerns about this ourselves.

I think you addressed that to the wrong person as it has no relevance to what I posted.

I didn't state that McC specially stated that Obama was a Muslim - - McC doesn't have to say it -
