>>Didn't ya know that wearing an Obama button these days is as trendy as a Starbucks cup?<<

Starbucks trendy? Is this 1998? They've been closing stores...

>>I was supremely irritated when TIME did NOT name Osama Bin Laden the 2001 Person Of The Year - on the same theory: this ISN'T an award, something to be proud of - necessarily. It CAN be, but the only true yardstick they have traditionally used (hence the Hitler cover) is "who has influenced history or the world the most this past year?" By any reasonable measure, in 2001, that would have had to be Osama Bin Laden.<<

Ugh, so true. But I was pretty pleased to be voted Person of the Year in 2006.

Do we really want people like this making the decision about who leads this country? It saddens me the direction this campaign is going in. What will our country come to? Hate begets more hate and nothing good can come from it.

Isn't "Mein Kampf" german for "Audacity of hope?"

I don't think an intelligent person could be "informed" and support Obama at the same time.

So does that make it right? Should we all just sink into the gutter? Don't you wish for a more honorable victory? Somethings are worth standing up for - or would you rather we all sink to the lowest common denominator?
