>>> So does that make it right? Should we all just sink into the gutter? Don't you wish for a more honorable victory? Somethings are worth standing up for - or would you rather we all sink to the lowest common denominator?

We should play on a level field.

The field will never be level if one side or the other keeps digging trenches. At some point there has to be a moment when someone stands up and says no more. I have reached that point, hence my departure from my party. I am sickened by the things I see happening at the rallies - this is not the party I have belonged to for most of my life. I want more for my grandchildren than what I see being portrayed on the news. These people do not represent my beliefs. If they represent yours that is your own personal cross to bear.

>>> The field will never be level if one side or the other keeps digging trenches.

Then I guess Obama had better stop digging...or get used to the hole he's in.

>>> At some point there has to be a moment when someone stands up and says no more. I have reached that point, hence my departure from my party.

Um...so you "left" the Republican Party because it was "being mean" and jumped over to the Democrat party which is demonstrably just as "mean." Sorry, but that kind of hypocrisy simply isn't convincing.

If you find lies and distortions fed to you by Barry, the king of lies and distortions, then that is your cross...and unfortunately the cross you're saddling with your grandchildren as well. If, God forbid, Obama's elected, they'll reap the horrors that he'll sow.

ROFL!

Well, then maybe you can take some solace on November 5th if you can find a wingnut publication somewhere that writes up a story of the Obama victory with the headline "How Can 65,028,832 People Be So Stupid?"

Then try a little of this; it might make you feel better.

"Oh my gosh, I recognize him, he posts under several names on this board! "

I wonder if there were Obama as Hitler dolls too, or at least some pics of der Fuehrer and Obama.

You are certainly entitled to your own opinion, I have to wonder though why you need to belittle those you chose to poet to, an underlying problem perhaps? Do you also drive a really big truck?

If by "belittle" you mean point out blatant hypocrisy, then "yes," I do have an underlying intolerance for hypocrisy.

>>> Do you also drive a really big truck?

I wouldn't call it "really big" but it certainly isn't a weenie Prius. ; )
