Let me just see if I understand, you are suggesting Obama is like Hitler, right?

Everyone except the right-wingers will just shake their heads at accusations like that.

You see, we want to hear about solutions to our broken economy and foreign policy, not wade around in more right-wing political muck.

Statement A: "Sure they are registered Republican." (Eisenhower and Buckley, both confirmed Obama voters)

Statement B: "There is no way someone is a republican voting for the most liberal democrat."

The WRDS™ (Wingnut Reality-Deflection Shield) must be really getting a workout tonight.

The pictures you keep showing mucky smears with no substance.

People want to hear about solutions to our broken economy and foreign policy. Bush and McCain don't want us to think about their legacy:

the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression,

two costly wars without end,

and our number one enemy still on the loose plotting against us 7 years after 9/11.

It's time to turn the page on the muck and start thinking about reality again.

Well to be fair, this same type of video was on the internet during the Bush administration about Bush.

name anywhere on this board I have mentioned just how long I have been posting here?

Pay attention: name anywhere on this board I said you'd been posting here for a specific time (other than just a week or two)? I didn't. This came up because you mentioned to another poster that you "remembered times on this board when people compared Bush to Hitler."

I replied that as far as I could remember, you'd only been posting here about a week or two, and I was pretty sure no one had compared Bush to Hitler in that time.

You apparently felt it necessary to reply to THAT by saying "No I have been here a long time. A lot longer than a week."

And your pal tootired chipped in helpfully and said you'd been here a LONG time, as well. So, my interest piqued, I asked if you'd oblige me by providing me with some OLD posts of yours, like from last Presidential election cycle. Is that too far back? Were you not posting here then? How 'bout some from the '06 midterms, then? I'm just curious, that's all. No need to get defensive.

Why post it? Because if I don't I am taken for a democrat. I came here originally because my SO posts here on the Moms & Politics board and I was curious. I have been struggling with this decision for awhile and have been refining my thought process as I read posts here and elsewhere. Initially I was reluctant to voice my inclination, either verbally to friends/associates/family for fear of repercussions. My first admissions of my intention were made on the internet, helped by the anonymity of the medium. As I began posting I was accused of being a democrat and 'drinking the kool-aid'. It seems you have to be one way or the other in the political world. I guess I wanted to bring another viewpoint to this situation. I can see you don't welcome that viewpoint, but that seems to be the way many feel today. I have begun to question many things this year, things I thought I knew, and I find my viewpoints are in a state of flux, almost like I am a teenager again after so many decades. Can't be a middle aged crisis as I am well past that, but as I get older I find I am more willing to try to understand other views. Maybe Alzheimers, or senility, or just an awakening.
