What is up with this garbage? McCain and Palin have to put their foot down to stop this. McCain bears some responsibility because his campaign has fostered nasty rude attacks that dehumanize Obama. But at least McCain was man enough to realize the monster he has created and McCain tried to calm down his angry mobs of supporters.
Palin, on the other hand, doesn't seem to know or care how to act like a decent human being. She is really scary.

it absolutely is a leader's responsibilty, that's a huge part of being a LEADER. if they want to be seen as LEADERS, they need to act like one. and when people get so dangerously vicious as the mccain-palin crowds do, it is ABSOLUTELY the leader's responsibility to take control of the situation and stop that kind of talk. the kind of person who is gross enough to yell 'kill him!' in a crowd is a DANGEROUS person, and does not need to have that mental illness fanned.
Since you obviously don't want to have a discussion, I'll be moving on....
If one reads all the posts on these political boards it is pretty easy to see where the real hate comes from and where it has been coming from.
The state of the economy cannot be solely blamed on either political party. The roots of the entire mess date back decades. Nixon and the Bretton Woods accord are part of it, and as the entire Central Banking system and fractional reserve lending. Many, many bankers and politicans contributed to this mess - whether through malice or ignorance, the world may never know.
NAFTA was negotiated and signed by George Bush. Bill Clinton fast-tracked it through the legislative process

pearl jam is my favorite band (IMHO, eddie vedder has the best voice in R&R), your analogy TOTALLY works---for me, anyway!!
"Alive" still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. :)
"i get mad and i certainly have my issues, but i just dont get why someone "hates" based on things that dont matter, like skin color, religion, etc..."
Me neither - I automatically assume it's fear or denial, after all they say it's thin line between love and hate.

I for one, admired the way in which he corrected the lady's misconception.

It's also a free country and people (the candidates themselves at their own rallies) are also free to set the record straight and set the tone when calls to kill their opposition is shouted out right in front of them.
