What is up with this garbage? McCain and Palin have to put their foot down to stop this. McCain bears some responsibility because his campaign has fostered nasty rude attacks that dehumanize Obama. But at least McCain was man enough to realize the monster he has created and McCain tried to calm down his angry mobs of supporters.

Palin, on the other hand, doesn't seem to know or care how to act like a decent human being. She is really scary.

I actually don't believe that the entire nation is polarized any more. I think we are united in our disgust for our corrupt politicians in Washington - all of them. I think the extremes on each side are polarized, but they will always be. That doesn't account for very many people, though. I think most of America is feeling a great deal of "us against the corruption in Washington" stick-together-ness.

Hmm I guess I view it as it as polarized.. especially looking at the polls in this race. I am disgusted with the whole Congress. I think somehow Washington has gotten their eyes off of who they work for and take care of their own special interests. I think a lot of us are just MAD!

>>> i have never heard anyone attack palin's daughter or boyfriend. please site an example. all i've heard is people talk about how it's an unfortunate situation and it's not an uncommon one.

Wow...you really have to read a little more. There have even been several threads on this board attacking the kids.

>>> i HAVE heard people call gov. palin on it b/c she is now a PUBLIC FIGURE running for one of the most important jobs on earth.

Unless you have some evidence of "bad parenting" on the part of Todd or Sarah Palin, how are you "justified" in "calling them on it?"

>>> palin is a big proponent for abstinence and in her own family is a glaring example of how ridiculous it is to teach abstinence to teens as the only option,

Just because Palin is a proponent of abstinence doesn't mean that she taught her daughter it was the only option...unless you have some kind of proof to support your allegation?

>>> but i've never heard anyone go after bristol herself.

Like I said...read more.

>>> we all know teen pregnancy happens and that teens are having sex, there's no need to "attack" bristol palin. but her mother is fair game, she's a politician wanting to run my wonderful country!

And yet the left has done EXACTLY that...and here on this board as well. I also agree that it's "fair game" to challenge Palin on her policies, but the libs have gone WAY, WAY, WAY beyond that with their personal attacks.

>>> reporting the fact that bristol palin is pregnant is not attacking her, it's reporting news.

It has been reported as news...and one of the reasons that the Palin family was so public about it is because the evil, wacko-lib media was printing stories saying that Sarah's new baby was actually Bristol's. It was quite a disgusting display...but not unexpected.

>>> if one of obama's daughters was pregnant (they're obviousy too young) i shudder to think of the nastiness from limbought, FOX, etc...

I doubt that there'd be much mention of it at all, since neither Barry or Michelle seem to have any problem with teen pregnancy. They'd just point their daughter towards the nearest abortion clinic and solve the problem in a jiff.

>>> if they call michelle obama a "baby mama" what would they say about their pregnant duaghter. i cant even think, and I AM GLAD my brain cant get as ugly as their's.

Michelle is the one who called Barry "baby daddy"...it was only natural to twist it around. If you find it offensive then you should direct your ire at Michelle...she's the one who brought it up, after all.

No it isn't illegal to yell kill George Bush, just as it isn't illegal to say Kill Osama Bin Laden.

That's quite an accusation. I believe it to be unfounded and vicious. If the situation were completely reversed between the Palin's and the Obama's or even the McCain's, the conservatives and liberals, would crucify the Obama's. He never would have even won the nomination. There is no denying that fact. It also appears to me, like so many pro-lifers, you believe pro-choice people would all chose abortions. Nothing could be further from the truth. I am pro-life for myself, but pro-choice for anyone else. I don't believe I have the right to force my views on, or to judge, others decisions.I don't believe anyone chooses to have an abortion so lightly, as to have one "in a jiff".

As I have said, yes, it is the left who objects to the right using Obama's name the way they do. Since everyone does know his entire name, there is no reason for conservatives to make a point of using it. I don't expect conservatives to admit why some of them use Obama's middle name the way they do. I understand that.
