BO fining parents

I was watching some of the debate from last week online because i missed it. McCain brought up that Obama wants to fine parents who do not have health insurance on their children.
I'm not sure how most people feel about this, but isn't health insurance just as important as shelter, education and food. I definitely think that not insuring your children should fall into the neglect category. People can complain about the cost of health care but if you can't afford having a child, don't have one.
I guess i was wondering what others thought about this.

Actually, Obama doesn't address these false charges.
I am not going to be able to change your mind so I won't even try.
Hey, wait a minute.
Uh-huh.....so you're getting a "feeling" of "truthiness" - why am I not surprised that such a thing is enough for many Republicans to vote based upon?
ROFL.
I'd say it's far more likely an unwillingness to allow McCain to back him into a too-specific policy proposal which could then be criticized, much like McCain keeps telling America that he "knows how" to "get Bin Laden" without ever getting more specific than that...even when asked.
Yep, sure sounds chock-full-'o'-truthiness to me, too!
You know, it occurs to me that John McCain has never directly addressed Ted Sampley's charges that he is likely a programmed Manchurian candidate from his time in captivity.
Hmmmmm!!!!
