Worthless Nobel Prize

The Nobel Prize is officially a leftist propaganda tool. After giving the award to such luminaries as Yasser Arafat, Jimmy Carter, and Al Gore, a Nobel Prize has now been given to NY TImes columnist Paul Krugman. Not that I had much respect for the award before, but now, I think it is completely worthless.

Actually, it will only be worthless to the right, until one of their "luminaries" gets it - probably next year - then it will once again be a treasure worthy of great value and publicity.

I highly doubt that an elitist group of socialist Europeans is going to give a conservative the Nobel Prize for anything anytime soon.

The very idea of socialism is elitist: it puts the economic decision-making power in the hands of government bureaucrats, unlike capitialism, which puts it in the hands of the people.

Isn't that what's happened with our economy?

But wasn't Milton Friedman a winner for economics, and rather conservative?

He won in 1976. As of late, however, the Nobel Prize has taken on a very left-wing political tone.
