As a military spouse (Army), this does offend me. Aside from the wrong facts, as a multi-millionaire, what on Earth does she have to be worried about with funding? I don't see her stepping up, sending ammo, food, water.. She obviously has the money if she so desired. There was a few days, in the middle of summer, people were getting memo's, hearing we might not get paid. For, me, and my family that caused slight panic. What IF we didn't get paid? What do WE do then?
I waited for my DH to come home, and when he did, it wasn't him. My DH has TBI, PTSD, loss of hearing, knee issues, etc. For a VETERAN, to not vote FOR other Vets, is a disgrace. He should be their biggest advocate! While Cindy McCain may have had sons in the War, she doesn't seem to know what she is talking about. I highly doubt she's ever had the worry regular families have had. The casualties, the broken families, the stress, the worry, the fear, the anxiety.. Let's be real honest about rank and power in the military, whoever was in charge knew who her son was. The pecking order is real different when you are connected to power, as John McCain knows himself.
I'm not terribly political, and I'm very open to new and good ideas, by either, any party, but this has been a complete joke to DH and I. When I vote I am thinking, who has our families best interest at heart? DH and I will not have children, thanks to this war, DH won't work again, thanks to this war, Veterans benefits are going make or break us, and while my family hangs in the balance, I should trust a person who has demonstrated terrible judgment? No, I don't think so.
This is my personal opinion, but any Veteran who has to call himself a *Maverick*, truly is the opposite of such. The best military personnel I have ever met, have also been humble and gracious.
