Anti Palin nastiness from the left?

I saw the video but my computer doesn't get sound on videos. I couldn't see the t-shirt clear enough. Were they shouting "terrorist" and "kill her"? Was it as offensive as the old guy holding a stuffed monkey with an Obama sticker at the Republican rally?

Edited to add: Not condoning it either way.

No, it wasn't. It's interesting, isn't it, that these "anti-Palin" stories only come out NOW, after McCain has been getting pounded (rightly so) for the hateful, riotous language being thrown around at their rallies. I have no idea whether someone was truly wearing T-Shirts with the C-word on them. But if it's true, the first question I'd want to ask is: why NOW, and not last week, or the week before, or the week before that? Why is this magically appearing only AFTER repeated examples of videotape surfaces with Palin supporters shouting hateful and possibly even criminal threats against Obama....and that lovely deluded old woman who showed the depth both of noncomprehension and fear/hatred among many of McCain's supporters towards Obama (though she herself didn't say anything threatening or hateful - just clearly misguided and misinformed)?

I remember reading a profile of Karl Rove a while back which recounted a story about a campaign he had run years ago in which he was down a few points (his client, I mean) in the closing weeks of the race, so he had fliers printed up ATTACKING HIS OWN CANDIDATE, and then had his own volunteers drive through neighborhoods tossing out these fliers with scurrilous, horrible attacks on Rove's client. The conclusion drawn - and fostered by Rove himself - was that these attacks HAD to come from the opponent's camp, because what idiot would print up such stuff about himself? And Rove's client won....narrowly, because of the "terrible negative campaigning" done by "his opponent."

Now, I don't necessarily think Karl Rove has a hand in any of this....but it wouldn't surprise me in the least to learn that this is a very conveniently-timed "happenstance" that's....well.....not really a happenstance at all, if you get my drift.

Finally, I'll point out that although the word that's alleged to be on T-Shirts by alleged Obama supporters is indeed a vile epithet, and among the most anti-woman things one can possibly say, it is NOT something which directly advocates violence or murder, as "Bomb Obama" and "kill him" (and even, arguably "terrorist!" - because what do we do with terrorists?) are. It's certainly vile....but IF it actually exists, and IF it's really Obama supporters, it's still nowhere near the level of secret service-investigation-worthy riot-level hatred that has been spewing forth from McCain/Palin supporters in recent days.

I wish that Fox would have shown the people wearing the t-shirts with the writing blurred out.

Nothing surprises me anymore. I think the blind hatred that many (even women, unfortunately) on the left feel for Sarah Palin causes many of them to not even notice all of the blatant sexism. At first I thought people noticed, but looked the other way. But today I am beginning to believe that they don't even notice it. It seems ANYTHING that smears Palin is just wonderful. Amazing. Truly amazing.

I disagree with you.

How do you disagree? What does what you posted have to do with what I posted?

Did I say women should support Sarah Palin because she was a woman? No I did not. I didn't support Hillary Clinton, but I didn't hate her to the point of relishing when she was the recipient of sexist attacks. The hatred toward Sarah Palin is so pervasive that I believe that even women don't SEE IT when she is attacked in a sexist way. That is what I said. If you disagree with that, then we can argue that point. I will not argue a point that I did not make.

They can't show the tshirt on television because of the offensive word used on the tshirt.
