It sure makes him look bad. I don't understand why he won't come out and condemn the voter registration fraud. How could anybody worthy of being president be for voter registration fraud?

His silence speaks volumes!

Evidently that's not enough for our right-thinking "friends" on here....

I'm having some trouble understanding why this is such a big deal. There is a HUGE difference between voter registration fraud and actual voter fraud; one actually affects votes and election outcomes, while the other doesn't.

If I understand the current ACORN fraud charges correctly, some of their workers were

Well I can understand why he would support a group like ACORN based on their stated mandate....It seems a laudable thing to do to to go out and try and register voters when currently, there is such a low turnout for elections.

However, I highly doubt the reason was because he wanted them (or expected them) to engage in criminal activities like voter fraud. This is what the other side is trying to do....Tie him in with the actual fraud itself (and make it seem that what donations he made to the group were in fact bribes with the aim to have the group engage in illegal activities like fraud).

It reminds me in a way of the same sort of tactics the administration used to connect Iraq with what happened on 9/11.

You think that article shows Obama is against ACORN's voter registration fraud? If Obama is really against voter registration fraud he would actually say it, a debate would be a great forum for that or even a campaign rally. A campaign spokesman is not Obama.

my guess is it sets us up for a possibly long and costly legal battle if it's not corrected before the election ... either could contest it based on these fraudulant registrations ... esp in states where id is not required to vote.
