Why Obama can't spread the weath around

The problem is Obama will take $1 from Joe the Plumber and maybe end up giving a few pennies to someone in need. Big government doesn't work. When Carter left the White House he left a double digit jobless rate and high inflation. Reagan cut taxes across the board and jobs crew and inflation fell, meanwhile federal tax revenues ONLY dropped 1%. Obama says he's going to return to the Clinton/Reagan tax rates but that's not true, he's going to significantly increase payroll taxes and this will double the impact of his increase in the top marginal tax rate.

Nobody is proposing to reduce taxes for the wealthy, only to keep them the same. I grant you that giving a tax cut might not spur people to spend more, but I can assure you that increasing taxes will cause my family to spend less.

"Since when did it become "noble" to walk around with your hand out?"

I didn't suggest it was. Confused why you're asking me that question.

Small business is a bigger part of the economy than you think:

This would be true,IF they kept their money HERE in the United States, but mostly it is hidden in overseas accounts where it isn't taxed. It's like Legal Mafia. They also own 75% if not more of all the wealth in the United States. Just what would they do, if people couldn't any longer buy their wares?

< "Since when did it become "noble" to walk around with your hand out?"

>>> I didn't suggest it was. Confused why you're asking me that question.

It was somewhat rhetorical.

>>> Those with wealth & many companies have an advantage over those with middle incomes.

Naturally.

>>> Remember this? Is this fair?
Warren Buffet Pays 17.7% Tax Rate; His Employees Pay 32.9%

It's a manipulation of the facts and numbers due to the way Buffet draws his compensation from the company. If he were paid a straight salary, as his employees are, then he would pay an even higher rate as he would, undoubtedly, be in a higher tax bracket. But to be "fair"...nothing is preventing Buffet from paying more in taxes. I guess you should ask him why HE has decided not to be FAIR when the opportunity presented itself. Maybe it speaks to his character and "patriotism."

>>> Major Iraqi Contractor Doesn't Pay Taxes

I'm not familiar with the circumstances of this contractor. If he's doing something illegal then he should be prosecuted...but if he's working within the system, then call your Congressman.

I'm personally not in favor of raising taxes for anybody.

Exactly! It's not like those who are "Have mores" spending more, or giving more jobs, no, they want to have "even more" for themselves. Trickle down is a farce!
