John McCain might regret those "air quotes" when he emphasized that

I think indpendents are smarter than to believe everything Barak Hussein Obama tells them

They're probably smart enough to spell his name right too!

The link you provided makes no mention of "attack ads". It does say both candidates have put out negative ads, and that Obama spent more on all ads than did McCain, through 9/16.

Again, I think you are the sole person who heard that Obama spent more than McCain on ATTACK ads.

What I heard is that 2/3 of the people polled believe that McCain's campaign has run more negative ads (or perhaps it was that he's, in general, running a negative campaign---don't remember the exact words), compared to 1/3 for Obama. And I believe McCain is a whole lot more negative, as well. Just look at last night's debate.

>>I think the independents were more angry at hearing that Obama has spent more money than any politician in history on attack ads

That was a slick, slick assertion of McCain's. As others have said, Obama has spent more money on ads than anyone in history. *shrug* I don't think anyone denies that included in those ads are negative ads. They work.

Obama was partially right in saying that McCain's ads have been 100 percent negative. What he neglected to point out is that McCain went 100 percent negative only during the week of September 28 - October 4. http://wiscadproject.wisc.edu/wiscads_release_101608.pdf.

By the way, The Wisconsin Advertising Project reports that President Bush holds the record for sheer number of negative ads, for the 2004 campaign. We'll see if that record holds over the next three weeks.

I think the independents were well aware that this campaign has spent the most money ever.

Hmmm...the snap polls sure didn't reflect that idea.

They all said that Obama beat McCain....again. That makes a clean sweep, 4-0 - according to "Average Joes," LOL.

Hillary supporters kept repeating the "can't close the deal" mantra, right up until the time their chosen candidate got up on the rostrum and gave her concession speech. Then, the sane amongst them sighed heavily and moved on to other things, and the dead-enders who just couldn't believe it became embittered PUMAs.

If you'd like, I'd be happy to give you my off-the-cuff analysis of which of those two groups your recent posts sounds more like.

That is true, more $$ = more $$ for ads, both have many negative ads but McCain did come out with more.

((In the past two days I got one "terrorist" flyer and two "terrorist" recorded messages from the RNC/McCain's campaign. They must be calling everyone because in this house we have four strong, Obama supporters.

DESPERATION!!!!!))))

The RNC is losing it. Literally and figuratively. It's too bad that you are caught in the middle. Sounds close to harassment to me. You are right, very desperate.

>>In addition one of the most firmly held oppositions to abortion is the lessening of the value of human life which becomes even scarier if you heard Obama say last night that "we have to cut down on payments to insurance companies for Medicare".<<

Where did you hear this? I've tried 3 different google searches and came up with nothing. Can you please post a link? Thank you.
