Atrocious to Smear a Private Citizen

I think it is atrocious for the press to try to smear a private citizen who merely used his first amendment rights to question a candidate! He didn't ask for all this attention, and he has not stated who he will be voting for, but since John McCain received some points in the debate last night about an exchange "Joe the Plumber" had with Barack Obama the press is out to destroy this man. Good Grief! The man is a plumber! An average citizen. Now the left wing is trying to vilify him like he's George Bush! How HORRIBLE! And the extremists on the left seem to be following in lock step. No compassion for an ordinary man UNLESS he shares their socialist viewpoint. This is about as dirty as it gets!

I don't remember if it was you or not....but someone (probably more than one) have spoken about their disgust with the "Liberal" media. Fox isn't Liberal, but it's definitely part of the mainstream media and they seem to be just as curious about this guy (and just as willing to talk about him).
Well that's your view and nothing can change it.
My view is that he could have talked about Joe the Plumber in order to use him as a real world example 'till the cows came home as far as I'm concerned....but he should have informed him first (AND his staff should vetted Joe to make sure he was what McCain thought he was, based upon a passing impression gleaned by viewing a brief clip Joe asking Obama a question).
As I see it, there were two errors of judgement on McCain's part. One, not vetting Joe....and two, not informing Joe that he would be made into the cornerstone of his internationally televised final debate for the presidency.
All I can say is how I would feel if I turned on the television one night and found one of our Canadian leaders using my name (not just once....not just twice....but over and over again) in a high profile speech or debate seen by millions of people.
I would feel used and upset that I was not first informed and given the opportunity if that was my desire, to say "Thanks, but no thanks".
He is NOT being punished for "agreeing with McCain"....but this is how you have chosen to view the situation and obviously nothing can be done to convince to even consider briefly standing back and viewing it any other way.
