Atrocious to Smear a Private Citizen

I think it is atrocious for the press to try to smear a private citizen who merely used his first amendment rights to question a candidate! He didn't ask for all this attention, and he has not stated who he will be voting for, but since John McCain received some points in the debate last night about an exchange "Joe the Plumber" had with Barack Obama the press is out to destroy this man. Good Grief! The man is a plumber! An average citizen. Now the left wing is trying to vilify him like he's George Bush! How HORRIBLE! And the extremists on the left seem to be following in lock step. No compassion for an ordinary man UNLESS he shares their socialist viewpoint. This is about as dirty as it gets!

McCain could have most certainly used just this guys first name, especially since we saw the video with Obama talking to this guy before the debate (so it was out there for all to see that this exchange between Obama and Joe did indeed occur).

Her husband didn't petition to be crucified by the media and right wing pundits did he? It is very much the same.

You don't have to "vet" ordinary citizens. They are not running for anything! You really need to come up with a more reasonable argument. You seem like a rational person usually. Do you REALLY think that McCain should have in any way expected that the left would sink this low?

Let me tell you something else. Most ordinary citizens have something in their background that could be exploited against them. Don't think that most people run around believing that they are imperfect people themselves, but everyone else has lead a perfect life? Rather they look at this guy and say, "Wow. I'm glad I didn't say anything." That is a HORRIBLE thing to teach the public. HORRIBLE.

Ordinary citizens are watching what is happening to this guy and will support him rather than hate him as the left hopes. The left, as usual, has solidly overplayed their hand.

There's no other way to view it. Actually he never said he agreed with McCain. What he said was he didn't like Obama's socialist agenda.

Thanks for stating the obvious...

Everyone feels differently about things. I wouldn't feel that way at all, were it me. I would have felt much like this man said he felt when he heard it. However, I would hate to think that just because I had made a statement from my heart about not approving of socialism that I would have MY privacy invaded and splashed across the press and vilified by the left.

Now people can expect it, and had better just keep their mouths shut unless they agree with socialism, right?

The left's desperate attempt to discredit this guy just because he exposed 0bama's socialist agenda is disgusting.

This has nothing to do with socialism.
