Atrocious to Smear a Private Citizen

I think it is atrocious for the press to try to smear a private citizen who merely used his first amendment rights to question a candidate! He didn't ask for all this attention, and he has not stated who he will be voting for, but since John McCain received some points in the debate last night about an exchange "Joe the Plumber" had with Barack Obama the press is out to destroy this man. Good Grief! The man is a plumber! An average citizen. Now the left wing is trying to vilify him like he's George Bush! How HORRIBLE! And the extremists on the left seem to be following in lock step. No compassion for an ordinary man UNLESS he shares their socialist viewpoint. This is about as dirty as it gets!

Please cite me one example in the past where a private citizen has been smeared in the press simply because one of the candidates used his story to make a point. This is unprecedented and truly sickening and frightening.

This is pretty pathetic.

Bullcrap.

Sure, private citizens' names are often brought up. Once. Not twenty-three times. And even with all that unusual amount of attention, ol' "Joe" could - and still can - easily just simply NOT GIVE INTERVIEWS. After all, he's done nothing do WARRANT interviews by the national political media, except be the focus of both candidates' attention for a brief moment, the press won't camp out in front of his house for weeks on end, hounding him, like they would do with Paris Hilton. If this guy wants privacy and anonymity, it's only a few "no comments" away.

It isn't a smear if it is true.

Better stick with FAUX "News," then - and the Moonie Washington Times: "All The News That's Printed To Fit The Republican Mindset."

<<Did you happen to read that he doesn't pay his taxes, or that he isn't licensed? Those things are smears on him that he DID NOT ASK FOR. >>

Yes I did read it and notice I didn't comment. McCain knows full well what the press is like (and hopefully all those crazy bloggers out there). That's why I think he should have asked that man's permission before exploiting him. It seems that this guy

It DOESN'T MATTER IF IT IS TRUE OR NOT! This man's PRIVATE LIFE is NOBODY'S BUSINESS. He's not a public figure by choice. He is being attacked because he ANSWERED A QUESTION that he was asked. He is an INNOCENT VICTIM.
