Many Conservatives live in their own little world. For them to realize we were screwed over by our Government would hurt their comfort zone. They would much rather bellyache and whine about paying a little more tax. A tax cut that bush had no business giving to them. It seems it's just fine that

I've seen McCain behave like a child...especially during the debates...his "mean ole man" status came out to play.

>>> Look, he is a Machinist, the only more he could do is go take courses to program the machines, the CNC type. He has been doing this for 10 plus years.

Not true...he could take courses in business and management, etc. After 10 years he should know what it would take to move up in the business...and he's chosen NOT to pursue those positions. There's also no law that says he has to stay with that particular business. In many occupations there is "skill crossover" with other fields. Maybe his skills could work in a better paying business...or maybe he could take his expertise and apply it to sales in the same industry...blah, blah, blah...the point is that his career is stagnant because he has made the choice to allow it to stagnate.

>>> He also knows how to build and design furniture, but you need the wood and the equiptment to do this.

If he has those skills, then why not get a job with a furniture manufacturer? Or perhaps open up a side business that repairs furniture...that would only cost tools and advertising. Or start his own furniture design company...build a few prototypes, create a sketchbook and contact a business that sells furniture, or create his own business on line. The possibilities are endless.

>>> When my grandson is older, maybe he will do this.

Push your grandson to get an education.

>>> I would rather help my sonand grandson than see the wealthy do nothing let the rest do it for me while I rest on my laurels, the type who cheated their way to wealth, kissed butt left and right, scammed other people, yes, many people DO get wealthy by taking advantage of others. some get caught, some don't.

Wow...that's a pretty skewed point of view. Just where does that hate for hard-working people come from? Did your son's boss cheat his way into his job? Did the owner of the company he works for cheat his way to "wealth?" Probably not. Most "wealthy" people work very hard for the money they make, and you should be happy that they do so they're able to hire folks like your son.

>>> You don't honestly think many wealthy people had help from their parents? Pulease! George W. Bush is a perfict example of someone who was helped by his friends and Daddy!

Aren't you helping your son?

Latest on the API tapes

API has an ongoing discussion with FOX NEWS on the best way forward in the process of releasing Michelle Obama tapes to the American people.

API hopes the negotiation will be completed as soon as possible so that the tapes can be made available to FOX NEWS in the next few days and specifically before the voting day -- the 4th of November.

Now, I didn't catch that flick. I saw a clip on the web site. The clip kept mentioning the guy made a lot of money before he started Blackwater and that he does a lot of work for the government in Iraq.

I didn't see anything in it about any crimes being committed,

Wow, you have all the answers. First off, where does he get the money from for business courses? He did work for a place that made stairs, they went out of business because of the economy and housing industry.

{he is not "messiah",
he will make mistakes,
but compared to mccain/palin,
we are fortunate to have him volunteer
to lead our country
after the devastation wreaked over the past 8 years}

yes, indeed!
