We can "tit for tat" about the medical system as much as you like, my best friend is a Canadian who lives and works in health care in Denver, she's a nurse and an administrator. She's told me horror stories about the US system as well, and would take ours in a heartbeat. My 34 year old cousin died in a Florida hospital of
Thanks for pointing out to me where you called the guy who made the video (or the guy who posted the highly edited video) "an idiot".
I am curious about something, you initially stated that you don't buy into YOUTUBE, so I am curious as to why you bought into this particular one ?
quote from you "A plumber is a hardworking man or woman and often middle class ... and to hear the man who wants to me my president with mockery in his voice saying 'he's fighting for a PLUMBER' makes me feel ill ..... the laughter and mockery in his voice .. omg. And I NEVER buy into the youtube video things ... so it takes a lot for me to be affected."
As for your observation that Obama did not say that he was supporting the MC in the exact same way as you think he should. Why should he ? He has his own way of saying things. He explained his position on taxes, and that he want to help 95% of the workers making less than $250,000 a year. I can extrapolate from that, that 95% of workers would include, plumbers, truck drivers, waitress'es, clerical workers, etc. I would be very surprised if anyone ever used the EXACT same words as I would to relate a similar idea. He used his own words, why do you expect to phrase things exactly as you would have in a similar situation.
And Joe the plumber is just ONE Person, I would hope that anyone who want to be my president would care about a greater cross section of the people, not just one person. Or just one profession.

in that same post I noted I was very tired ... and I wasn't thinking in terms of cutting a sentence in two

Does this comes as a surprise to anyone? I should hope not. Obama is a snob. Newsweek said Sarah Palin and John McCain are just one of the folks. That does not sound like a problem to me. If they are one of the folks, then they will be more helpful to others who are as well. Obama mocking Joe the Plumber is so typical of people like him. He speaks to the average, middle-class American like he/she's an idiot. Obama is a snob. He does not care about Joe the Plumber or anyone else like him.
