20ish ss heard nothing ... things they are trained to hear and you believe one reporter?
Ok .... ;-)
Sarah Palin is going around conducting Nuremberg rallies and you're inclined to believe the reporter lied. Okaaaaay.
I agree. It is hateful. I watched Bill Maher last night. He made a big deal out of Joe the Plumber. I actualy feel bad for the guy. He has been the brunt of jokes on so many programs! It is sad. BUT, Martin Short or one of the guest panal said something that made a lot od sense. Joe the plumber should have been more honest upfront from the get-go. then I think He wouldn't have been made fodder. It is true, he isn't licensed as of yet,he probably is working on it, he isn't making that much money now, but would like to someday. Heck my son talks of owning his own Machine shop, but right now, he's making 13.00 an hour. It will be lightyears if ever he will be able to own his own Machine shop. Just as Joe the plumber may not even be able to own a plumbing business for at least 10 years! It's not unusual to owe back taxes, so making a joke about that wasn't right. Bottomline is Joe wasn't all that honest upfront. That is why when he was investigated he became fodder.
He should have said something like this to Obama :"I work for a Plumbing company, I'm working on getting my license, My boss is my partner, he has said I may be able to take over the business down the road. Now, you are saying He or I would be paying more tax if we make over 250,000. How can I afford to buy a truck or equiptment if I am taxed more under your tax plan?"
First of all, a truck or equiptment should be a write-off for a business, Joe talked to Obama like he was close to buying the business, that in itself was a distortion.
I feel a bit sad for the guy, too. I'd hate to have my life turned inside and out like that. I don't think there was anything wrong about him posing a kind of hypothetical situation to Obama and mischaracterizing himself. People do that all the time. The funny thing, however, is that I would love to have Joe's hypothetical problem. I doubt I'll ever see 250k a year in earnings. I'm not even in
