Swooning, crying, fainting, tingles up the leg, and now threats of boycotting!

I agree. I don't buy American cars because American car companies have treated consumers like crap over the years. They've also led the charge against sane gas mileage standards, stopped the transition to electric cars, fought against intelligent safety standards, and keep coming back for more of my tax money to enable their godawful management decisions

This is not something I would choose to organize a boycott over.

However, there are right wing boycotts all the time. Remember when several radio stations refused to play Dixie Chick records because the exercised THEIR freedom of speech ? How about the Disney boycott because they offered benefits to same sex couples ? Also, conservative Christian groups urged a boycott of the MILITARY, because the military had the NERVE to respect the civil rights of Wiccans in the military. (How do they uphold the constitution and freedom of religion) What about efforts to boycott retailers who wish their customers "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas "? Do you think "The Committe to Save Merry Christmas" is a left wing organization ? Also, a volunteer police department refused to direct traffic for a YMCA event, because the read Harry Potter books

I would never boycott a business for this. It would take a very serious human rights violation for me to boycott a company, because in all honesty, if I went through every company I did business with and their subsidiaries, etc. I'm sure I would find something I could object to.

That being said, boycotts are a daily part of life, and they are used by people of ALL political persuasions. Let's not pretend that boycotts are something that ONLY "the left" does and "the right" never does.

Even tho' this is not something I would boycott over, this story does not suprise me. A story about a business being boycotted for supporting Obama wouldn't surprise me either.

"If you left the "Democrat" party....you were never in it. "

Oh c'mon, that is just plain silly. People change politicial parties, religions, and ideas all the time. Doesn't mean they were never in them to begin with. People can and do change their ideas on things.

And, I believe you blame the whole party for those things, too.

If there are two businesses side by side, and I am going to choose to give my money to one of them, why would I not give that money to a business which supported the same values I supported -- if I know about those values?

Is this not American, where I have a choice where I spend my money?

No, I do not. I have a lot of Republican friends who do not call Obama a Socialist, or a Marxist, or a Communist.
