WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Republicans launched an enormous wave of phone calls Thursday blasting Sen. Barack Obama for "having worked closely with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers," party sources said.

I don't know where you live - and am not asking you to reveal it - but what part of this don't you understand?

Study: Nearly all recent McCain ads were negative
By SCOTT BAUER – Oct 8, 2008

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Nearly every TV ad Republican John McCain ran last week was negative, compared to just 34 percent of those by Democrat Barack Obama, according to an analysis released Wednesday.

The harsher tone in McCain's ads mirrors the sharper attacks he and his running mate Sarah Palin have been making on the campaign trail as polls show Obama opening up a lead.

Obama also has a lead in fundraising, which is letting him do more advertising than McCain, the Wisconsin Advertising Project report said.

I really don't care what percentage of his ads are negative.

OK, I'm gonna say this one more time, and then stop - on the general theory that doing something the same way but expecting different results is the definition of insanity.

The left is not so much "crying foul" that McCain is simply RUNNING negative ads, they're pointing out that he has consciously chosen to make the closing weeks of his campaign not about anything he's done or intends to do as President - nothing about his positions or policies - but about moldy old character-based attacks on his opponent.

Not very inspiring, and a clear indication that McCain is either too afraid to TRY to run on his recent record (not the POW stuff), or that he just doesn't have much TO talk about in terms of concrete plans and good ideas. That's why it's worthwhile to point out the McCain campaign's (lack of) strategy/vision.

Neither of those polls were talking about Obama and Ayers relationship.

Like I said, I don't know what ads are running in every portion of the country. What I DO know is that the ad you linked to was dropped AFTER last Wednesday's debate, according to "Special" Ed Morrissey at Hot Air (Malkin's video project, so it's wingnut-approved).

The piece I linked to was done October 8, a week previously. Are you disputing its claims?

I have no idea what his claims are.

Why would you tune out with associations and character?
