It may not be anything as noble as that. Have you considered that it might instead be that despite Susan Collins' incumbency and relatively safe lead (compared to many GoOPers this term), she's worried about being tied too closely, in a state which is more Democratic than it is Republican, to the worst and most vile of McSame's robo-excesses and smears.

Are you joking me?

Obama released an eleven-minute video and took out a web site specifically FOR THE PURPOSE OF highlighting McCain's involvement in the Keating Five. He's not "avoiding it," by any measure. In fact, that web site is a warning-shot across McCain's bow not to get too nasty, because there's plenty more where that came from. None of the other Congresscritters implicated in the scandal are even in office anymore, and though you're correct that they're Democrats, I'm not sure why you'd think that particularly matters. Good government isn't a partisan issue; most people want their elected officials to be honest (though I suspect that many don't expect that they WILL be, after the Abramoff scandals of recent years). However, that's "elected officials." This is a non-issue today for those OTHER men because none of them are running for anything. Not so John McCain. He's continued to be an elected official, and is now asking for people's votes for the highest office in the land.

That's why your post is nonsense.

Note on this clip that it is immediately cut after he says it. That is so that you don't hear what he said in its entirety. You will also note that the clip is from 2003. This was a time when Bush had very good approval ratings. So the clip is misleading and the Obama camp knows it.

Misleading? Hardly.

By the way....um....I thought McCain was supposed to be a "maverick?" If that's the case, then what, pray tell (specifically), is "maverick-y" about trying to ride the coattails and bask in the reflected glory of a higher-up who's currently enjoying high approval ratings.

Real mavericks don't stick their finger in the political winds before the make speeches or even answer questions regarding their support for (or opposition to) either specific policies or other politicians.

Oh, and? If you want to watch an expanded set of "I'm thrilled to have voted with the President over 90% of the time" cliips from McSame, you have but to Use The Great Gazoogle, grasshopper. Here, though: I did your homework for you.

Yes I do believe that the nation has a much better chance of coming together under a moderate like McCain than it does under an ultra liberal like Obama. Having all branches of govt under one party is not good. They need checks and balances.

Who'd you vote for in the Presidential race in 2004?

There were several Republician's that also served on the school board with Bill Ayres too. Hmmm, wonder why the McCain camp doesn't talk about them??

I guess you missed it when this was brought into question by Hillary Clinton not McCain.

It just shows that the left wants to lessen the truth, because they know it looks bad, very bad.

No, the left is just sick of hearing about it because IT DOESN'T MATTER.

Wonder if you can call them back and spew some obsenities back at them? There use to be a way to "jam" robocalls by hitting some numbers on your phone.
