McCain and Palin need to reel in their venom, because the next Joe that gets kicked, might not be so diplomatic! This is outrageous and immature of some GOP supporters.

That's funny, well sort of. How's this. My SIL's friend used to date a local congressman from our area, she is an artist of sorts. He always said he wanted her pictures if she was going to sell them, etc. So she took them to his home the other day. BUT, my SIL's daughter's boyfriend had an Obama pin, she asked to borrow it, just to rattle his chain. When he saw her he about had a heart attack! She said the look on his face was priceless! He is running for re-election and is a Republican. He probably will win, he's a decent guy, about as nonpartisan a congressman could be. Actually, we all rented his beach house this past aug.

I don't get the mentality of those who do the stupid bumper sticker stuff and steal signs, much less those who do property damage.

Me either but then this campaign seems to be bringing out the worst in some people. Several of my best friends are republicans and while we know that we are voting for different candidates we are usually ok with that, this year unfortunately there are a couple from our group who are being really distant. I am hoping after the election this will pass. I have a sister in Texas that I am kind of avoiding for a similar reason. I don't want to fight with her but she won't let it go since she 'found religion'. Keep in mind we were brought up Catholic and our parents and most of our siblings are staunch democrats, but since her move to Texas she has been a pretty rabid republican. I get that she is trying to fit in there but please keep it out of the family time!

Well it is both regrettable and horrible that someone would vandalize your car but you are right it is hardly worthy of national news. Local news perhaps, so maybe you should call your local affiliate, but one car being damaged is hardly worthy of national news.

You may be right about the national news, but your local news stations might be highly interested in a story like that...which then may be picked up by the nationals.

I am sorry to hear that. I am voting against McCain, but I try to be civil about it. I hope they catch who ever did this and give them the maximum punishment allowed. That sort of behavior appalls me, no matter if it's done for kicks, or done to make a political statement ANY political statement.

Please don't think that the creep who vandalised you car represents every democrat. There are creeps on both sides.

Well this won't make the national news since it doesn't reflect well for the Obama supporters.

I believe Melanie was referring to the vandalism that happened to her car, which was sporting a McCain Palin sticker. THAT's the story she says won't make the news.
