I have gone through 6 Obama signs in 3 weeks. Seems my McCain neighbors don't respect my right to vote for the candidate of my choice. Maybe you live in a more tolerant are or maybe Obama supporters are more tolerant. Kind of hard to tell from your post.
That's debatable. LOL I remember when back in 2004, we supported Kerry and had a Kerry sign, someone destroyed it overnight after it being there only a few days. there were many cases in my area which is an upper middle income area basically where people had signs stolen, both Kerry signs, and Bush signs.
I know around my area, there have been McCain signs that have been out for a month or more, still there. Probably depends on the area you live in. The guy down the road has a sign that says "I am the NRA and I vote" hung up and it's still there, too. There was one house with an Obama sign up, I think it's still there, too.
Probably depends on how much your neighbors either 1) support the same guy you support or 2) believe in free speech.
Our church had its No on 8 signs removed and replaced with Yes on 8 signs last week so clearly some folks don't have this freedom of speech bit down yet.
I just put my sign in the window - had to do that in the last election as well. I live in a red community within a blue state. Kind of crazy the state will go to Obama, buy my county will probably go to McCain. Makes life interesting.
It depends - you got any of those danged dirty farking hippies in your neighborhood? If you do, they might try to use yer lawn sign to light their mary-j-wanna cigarettes, or burn their draft cards.
Otherwise, if you live in what Sarah Palin calls "the real America," you're probably cool.
I live in a quiet community and kids from other neighborhoods come through. I have already had my car egged in broad daylight, the mark ith egg left is still on the gas cap closure. My community had less than 5,000 people(Sarah Palin's) type of town LOL
