That sounds sweet...except when the guys Obama is pandering to are our enemies. I don't like that approach.

I assume you are referring to talking with our enemies? See Petraeus, David... and how he worked with insurgents to calm things in Iraq.

We have to talk with those with whom we have differences. Not talking condemns the nation to

>>> I assume you are referring to talking with our enemies? See Petraeus, David... and how he worked with insurgents to calm things in Iraq.

Hmmm...kinda slightly different situation...and...Patraeus isn't the President...another somewhat important distinction.

>>> We have to talk with those with whom we have differences. Not talking condemns the nation to war. No thank you.

No...really it doesn't.

>>> If you polled the Pentagon, I'd bet talking would be the most popular option chosen.

Everyone advocates talking...just not having the President at the table without pre-conditions, as Obama advocates.

So this is the "president can't talk, only staffers and underlings can talk pov?"

That has come up in this campaign a few times, and I find the notion ridiculous. Presidents can cut through bull doo doo that staffers cannot. Many times, staffers will hit a roadblock, only for the heads of state to crack through it.

We need to talk... in case you haven't noticed, your way has not worked with Iran. There is no good reason for either nation to be at each other's throats. People get all antsy about their goofy president (we had our own version of goofy) but he is not the power in Iran, he is a distracting buffoon. Those who really hold the reigns of power will talk, so long as we don't blow smoke and create all this hype about it.

Yes! To no preconditions.

Yes...that was the entire point of the issue.

I suggest that you do a little reading on the subject...in particular look at what Kissinger said. It'll give you a little insight.

>>> We need to talk... in case you haven't noticed, your way has not worked with Iran.

Um...I hate to break it to you, but we (through surrogates) have been talking with Iran all along...and you've seen the result. It's amazing that you think all the Obamessiah has to do is ask Ahmadinejad nicely and he'll immediately stop trying to build nukes. LOL!

>>> There is no good reason for either nation to be at each other's throats.

Um...yeah, there kinda is. Maybe you missed his funny line about blowing Israel off the map? Then there's the other America-hating bits that are a real scream. Letting that wackjob terrorist supporter get a nuke is madness.

>>> People get all antsy about their goofy president (we had our own version of goofy) but he is not the power in Iran, he is a distracting buffoon. Those who really hold the reigns of power will talk, so long as we don't blow smoke and create all this hype about it.

Your understanding of the intricacies of foreign policy are staggering. It's not a big surprise that you bought into a slogan of "hope and change."

>>> Yes! To no preconditions.

Wow.

>>> I lived through the Kissinger years, and he is one of the last turkeys I'd listen to. Kissinger was one of the movers of Nixon's Iran policy, an unmitigated disaster (that Ford and Carter continued.)

Well, then you keep right on believing that you know more about foreign policy than everyone else...no reason to change a thing.

>>> As for talking all along... you just proved my point. No bigshots, no results.

Oh, I see...you believe that only the Obamessiah has the words that will magically make Iran see "reason." LOL! (Geeze...where are my eye roll icons when I need them.)

>>> I see, so my foreign policy expertise is lacking.

Well...obviously.

>>> Are you claiming expertise? What would you toss out to me as background?

Um...the considered opinions of experts?
