I completely and totally agree. I've a boatload of respect for him, and think if his voice were given more weight by Bush, he and we would not be in this mess now. I hope Obama finds a place for him in his administration.

I'm sure many of the Obama haters will dismiss this and label Powell as a traitor saying that the endorsement only took place because Powell is African American.

That would be unfortunate. Powell represents the very best of the Republican party, and dissing him in this way after his many years of loyal service to this country - at times representing their party - seems just a bit unappreciative and shallow.
