I'm really hoping that the first thing Democrats do in 2009 is ensure that our voting rights cannot be tampered with. They have to ensure there's a verifiable audit trail. I'd be happiest to simply return to an all paper ballot along with vote-by-mail

This is great, because in the past, the democrats have been reactive instead of proactive in protecting voter's rights. It is a shame that US elections have to be monitored, because of pure desperation on the GOP's part to win at any cost. They have gotten away with too much already.McCain was wrong, it is the GOP who have become a scurge by destroying the fabric of democracy. Very despicable.

I'm voting by mail- need to do that tonight. I don't think I have to worry about my vote too much here in California, but I sure would be suspicious if I lived in a swing state.
