What is so wrong? That a "colored man" will become our next president? With that kind of thinking I'm glad you are not on our side.
I am not voting for Obama because he is black and I am white. I am voting for him because McCain is too damn negtive, just like Hillary was. And, of course, because Obama will watch out for the little guy instead of helping the big corporations that let only their losses trickle down.
((((It's really unfortunate that we have been not looking at other things that are important to this country - the border, gun control, national defense
Let me see if I've got this straight: you sound disappointed that - in your view - your "party nominateed a man that isn't ready for the White House," yet when it comes to Governor Palin, you seem to be saying that voters should give her a break because "she is new to this. I think that she has been thrust into the big leagues, and I find her to be a very nice woman?"
Seriously?
Colin Powell put it very well this past Sunday on Meet the Press when he endorsed Barack Obama: he said that the job of Vice President is to be ready to be President at a moment's notice. And Palin is most certainly NOT. Being a "nice lady" and "new to this" might be reasons to give her a break or a second chance if she was screwing up at her new job as a receptionist.....but not reasons to give her a bye on the whole "qualifications" thing for President.
