“All the people like us are we, And everyone else is They.”
Rudyard Kipling
Why can’t McCain/Palin stick to the issues - economy, more jobs, getting us out of Iraq, taking care of Al Qaida in Afghanistan, giving us affordable health care, and strengthening social security - instead of trying to demonize their opposition? Name calling will not solve our problems. Hate serves no purpose, but to divide our country.
Instead of trying to unite our people in an effort to find solutions to our problems, McCain/Palin go with the old Karl Rove strategy of divide and conquer. We are the good guys and everyone is bad. Hate can only hurt us all.
If we are going to overcome the adversity we face in this country, we will have to do it together.
We overcame the Great Depression and defeated the Nazis in World World II by working together, one country united.
Pitting one group of our citizens against another will only be counterproductive. Look at the tragedy of the American Civil War.
There should not be a we and a they. Everyone here should be an us.
I believe in this country. I believe that we can solve our problems. But I also believe this will not come until we are united for the purpose of solving problems.
America is a diverse nation of people who have come from many different lands. Different cultures and different religions. But our differences have long been one of our strengths.

The McCain plan is simple; They're going to lose, so divide the electorate as much as possible.
Nothing they have shown us indicates otherwise. They're fixated on Obama, they hate that everyone else is fixated on Obama, they hate that everyone is talking about Obama when look at what they do: They talk about Obama.
If McCain had something to offer more than the status-quo, we'd be hearing it. Instead, all we hear from their camp is Obama, Obama and more Obama.
Pretty funny really.

Are you
The issues you brought up, distorted as they may be, will not affect this country.

You are correct.
Since Obama has been declared the winner even before the election, what's the point of voting?

That was kind of a silly question.
He hasn't been declared the winner....Polls say he's leading currently (and there a number of them showing different percentages of this lead). Polls can have a large margin of error so it's anybody's game. No one knows what's going to happen on "the day". Kerry was leading in the polls going into the last election. There's plenty of time left and anything can happen. The month isn't even over yet....I thought there was supposed to be some sort of "October surprise" (unless the Powell endorsement counts).
