The queen in waiting couldn't even wait to be elected VP. Palin has gone out and dropped $155,000 on clothing.

So much for the average hockey mom mythology.

If I were a contributor to RNC I'd be fuming. Especially since I think SP's physical appearance is so attractive that it doesn't matter what clothes she wears. (It's too bad that the words coming out of her mouth detract from her beauty.) And I don't particularly care for the styles she wears. Why spend a ton of money on something that's clearly unnecessary?

Are there any reports about what Obama, Biden and McCain (and their families) have spent/are spending on their outfits to look their best? Is anyone following them around so as to keep 'score'?

Didn't Cindy McCains outfit for the RNC cost something like $300,000?

And what did the Republicans do when Edwards spent $400 at a salon? Ridiculed him of course.

Hurray for GOP double-standards!

All I care about right now, is that I just had my hair done for $40 (wash/rince/dry), and that it's $$ well spent.

Do we now all get upset about how candidates dress, do their hair, and what it costs THEM?

>"Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd, have assets worth up to $2.1 million and they paid $24,738 in 2007 income taxes on total income of $166,495, documents released today by her campaign show."<

Appearing on the public stage I can understand the need to look well dressed. Though

These clothes didn't Palin one cent, it was paid for by the GOP. If that's even allowed, we'll see.

And yes, we will discuss it. McCain supporters on this board ridiculed every Obama/Clinton supporter for days when it was announced Edwards spent $400 at a Capitol Hill Salon.

Prediction: Not one McCain supporter will think Palin spending almost 200k on clothes is a bad thing.

The good thing: When they lose, she'll get to keep the clothes!

It just shows how out of touch the Republican candidates are with "Joe six pack".

That is what the report says.
