Seems the RNC spent a LOT of money dressing Palin - unheard of to do this kind of stuff for a candidate.

((((This sort of spending is without precedent -- the closest approximation for any campaign I've ever covered is make-up expenses for television interviews and commercial shoots -- )))))

The irony is delicious. Palin: the regular gal, champion of Joe six pack, Joe the plumber, guru to hockey and Walmart moms.............in $150,000 of designer clothes: financed by the RNC. Hmmmmm GOP socialism.

I thought Obama was the 'Paris Hilton' candidate?

Of course, people that know Obama know that he's always dressed in a modest fashion, but he sure looks good anyway :)

When does it end for the McCain campaign? They have no narrative to win this election and they run like they've never run a campain before.

Is this a violation of FEC laws?

Because it's most likely a violation of FEC laws. No one running with hard money buys clothing with it, no one has.

The RNC is allowed to spend up to $19 million in "coordinated expenses" with the campaign. In September, it spent a a total of $4.4 million. The clothing and styling was part of that, but most was spent on postage for campaign mailings.
