Of course I have, BUT don't you know Bin Laden's whole intent of that attack on 9/11 was for us to retaliate and bleed our economy. Well, guess who's economy is bleeding.

I'd think though they'd want us out of Iraq now based on the claims of the Obama camp that we let them in when we evaded .... basically we set up the game for them ... now they'd want us OUT.

so based on that -- since Obama also wants us out, I'd see them supporting him but making it look like the support McCain.

Then again the whole thing could be bogus (the support).

That's what my thought was, too. That they really want Obama because then it will be easier do something bad. Maybe this is the 6 month test thing Biden is talking about?

I'm beginning to think that Biden was right on Iraq when he advocated for the division of Iraq into three ethnic states for Kurds, Shiites and Sunnis. It seems every day I read an article about how they are fighting among themselves. As soon as we stop paying them to be on our side, they'll switch sides and there'll be a Civil War.

It seems we have two options: Stay there forever or leave and let them fight among themselves. I say we should get out. As Petraeus said, we may never see victory in Iraq.

Yes, and a fair point, EXCEPT that the al-Qaeda strategy was indeed to draw the US into a protracted guerilla war.

Anyone who knew anything about the middle east knew that this kind of fighting (between those 3 groups) would be one of the results of our invasion. However, although dividing the place into 3 parts, that is not as simple as it sounds either. Fr one thing, Turkey would most likely take military action against an independent Kurdistan.
