Obama is NOT raising taxes

Much has been said about Obama raising taxes, but here's the deal on it.

George W Bush is raising your taxes. It is his tax cut that he signed into law that contained the time for them to EXPIRE.

Obama had nothing to do with this Legislation. It was signed by George W Bush.

Of course, only a few years ago John McCain himself wouldn't support those tax cuts, flip-flopping (again) his position entirely since beginning to run for President after the 2004 election.

Go read the bill and show us where someone 'lets' them expire and show us where it says that. Your answer is on par with a Palin answer, I'm not sure if you're geniunely misinformed or just mistaken.

Please clarify.

The bill says it what it says, it was signed by Bush.

Obama doesn't run from this, he has based his entire campaign on letting them expire and for once, CUTTING TAXES for the middle-class. But don't mince words about the Legislation as it was written and signed.

Not a nice try at all, just stating a fact.

How is Obama raising taxes on people who can barely fill their tanks? You mean people making over 250,000 can't fill their tanks? OK, let's say Obama doesn't do anything different, let's the wealthy keep their precious money. The Middle class and poor continue to stagnate. With no extra money they can't buy things to stimulate the economy. What will happen then?

One thing for sure, we wouldn't be in so much debt had Bush not got us involved in Iraq. So, what do YOU suggest we do? Cut more programs for the poor and middle class?

Here's food for thought....

Obama, while in senate, has voted 96 times to raise taxes. He has never voted to cut taxes. But somehow, he has everyone convinced that his is going to cut their taxes.

Should we trust his word or his track record?

It still looks like he voted for every tax increase, and didn't vote against any. Who cares if it's 20 times, 50 times, or 96 times.

But now, he's going to vote for tax cuts, as long as we elect him.

This is hilarious. You are already covering for him if he gets in and raises taxes. Is there nothing that this guy will take responsibility for??? Just what we need, a president that passes the buck.

You must know full well that George Bush wanted the tax cuts to be permanent and not expire, but guys like Obama in the senate would not make them permanent.

it seems to me he voted (at times) against raises for the very wealthy (for good causes)
