Obama is NOT raising taxes

Much has been said about Obama raising taxes, but here's the deal on it.

George W Bush is raising your taxes. It is his tax cut that he signed into law that contained the time for them to EXPIRE.

Obama had nothing to do with this Legislation. It was signed by George W Bush.

Of course, only a few years ago John McCain himself wouldn't support those tax cuts, flip-flopping (again) his position entirely since beginning to run for President after the 2004 election.

Reward Republicans for 8 years of failure? No way, No how, No McCain!

There are those who pay barely nothing for their Health ins. In Pa, the congresscritters pay 1% of their yearly salary for Health ins. they used to get it for FREE. Many people who work for the State or county get Health ins for practically nothing, paying maybe 125.00 a month to cover their family. A good friend of mine who's DH was a cop in Phila is actually afraid for McCain to win, she admits if they have to pay tax on the ins they receive from the Phila police department, it will indeed cost them plenty more in taxes. Her Dh gets a good pension now, and is working part-time. She is still working also. My other neighbor said her DH get pension and they have good benefits from where he worked as a chemical Engineer(drug company) that their ins is worth 18,000 a year also. But that is tax on them if McCain wins. But ok, teachers pay very little towards their health ins, but they are still better off with an Obama win, they don't make 250,000, so the teachers that make say 80,000 a year, add another 18,000 to that, they go into the next tax bracket. this is what McCain's plan will do for many send them into the next tax bracket. so in essance RAISE their taxes.

Not a good idea to raise taxes on people that can barely fill their tanks.

That response explains so much to me.

Obama, while in senate, has voted 96 times to raise taxes.

That is a gross distortion.

I'm sorry, I couldn't understand how your response had anything to do with my post. I guess that's an admission that Democrats loved Bush and voted for every one of his initiatives.

There's actually about 700,000 federal workers, all DEMOCRATs, who were hired before 1983, so have their own pensions. They don't pay into Social Security either. In case that doesn't ring your bell, that would include all of the senior management at Social Security today. They don't pay into Social Security. Nice huh?
